What ultimately made him a non-fit for UT is the same reason he wouldn't work in the Ole Miss scheme. Arkansas might be a good fit. LSU will be loaded at QB after signing day. Brennan will prob have to take his last year somewhere else. UGA would be a good fit, but they have no room or need for him after the upcoming signing days. Clemson's offense would still require dual threat QB. Auburn and GT also might be good spots. Maybe UF.

I think Bailey is actually a good pickup for a whole host of SEC and ACC schools. He essentially has an entire career left in front of him and he did get some experience in two different systems so he has a leg up on most incoming recruits.....

Obviously Ole Miss is in the tank for Arch Manning but if he doesn't wind up there to continue the family legacy, Kiffin will need a backup plan. Bailey wouldn't be a bad one to get just for the sake Kiffin can work with different style QB's no issues. I do think Clemson is going to shake things up given the bust that DJ has been..... He is the sole reason they are a 3 loss team right now.... Any decent QB and they are 1 loss at most.

This is a true statement. Coaches have to make many decisions and sooner or later one will be wrong. He was wrong about Milton but it doesn’t mean he’s incompetent. It means he’s human and overestimated his ability to help Milton get better. I can forgive him for that.

To be fair, everyone watching practice thought Milton was the guy. It’s possible that Milton was the better QB at the time but Hooker passed him as he figured out what Hypel wanted to do.

Fantastic kid and teammate. I wish he and UT were a better fit for each other but the longer this plays out it appears that they aren’t. It’s an unfortunate situation. In this league you need quality depth. He still has a lot of football ahead of him. I wish him nothing but the best for wherever he goes.

Reality check: The staff tried to give Bailey the job in the spring and he couldn't take it. Had every opportunity, he just isn't that good.

The big loser here is Kaidon Salter who probably could've eventually excelled in a Heupel offense and is now sitting in the metropolis that is Lynchburg VA taking New Testament. Dumb. Liberty has pretty much flashed and fizzled this year and Freeze is not even coming up in the coaching vacancy conversations. If Liberty doesn't recapture some "trap opponent" appeal again, Salter may be the next Tate Martell.

I’ll say he felt like he did his time and showed he was capable and I agree with him on that because he definitely did.

Remind yourself that these players practice together and see much more than we see on Saturday. Then take yourself back to the heavy lean to one new player. Then put yourself in his shoes and ask yourself how you would’ve handled it. He’s gotta grow up and I think he did quite a bit due to this incident. It’s just too little too late for UT.
