Would there be any value for her to sacrifice a little velocity for spin rate and movement on her fastball?Looking at our roster we have a lot of hitters to fit in but as last year showed a few injuries and the bottom of the lineup falls off.
Although the bottom came through with some big hits there was no consistency. Hopefully we will have more depth this year. On paper we look stout hitting. Hopefully they are working with Pickens on a curve for the outside of the plate.

If Puni is slow to start in the spring I think we'll see Pannell at third base. Puni's labrum injury could slow her down getting back into action. Or you could put Boo at third and Guila G at first base just in case Puni isn't ready yet.C- Nugent
1B- Boo
2B- Pannell
SS- 1A-Donihoo/ 1B- Mealer
3B- Puni- out for fall
LF- West (for the beginning)
CF-Kiki
RF- Committe Taylor/G/Donihoo/Brockenbrough
DH- Brockenbrough/Destiny/Keene/Faw/G
Players like Boo, Puni, Kiki, Nugent are your no doubters. I’d put Pannell in there too if she has a fall like she did last year. Big fall for Keene heading into year 3 and with very little to show obviously injury aside. Outside of Bella not sure the Leach twins make an impact outside here and their innings. G will be all over to get her innings where games and innings allows.
My humble opinion
All options. Timing wise usually the start of the 7 month post surgery you’re 100% cleared. She’ll be able to do work prior to build up …might be doing it now in regards to light throws on a small count, gradually increasing each week. I’d be surprised unless there’s a freak setback like Underwood had.If Puni is slow to start in the spring I think we'll see Pannell at third base.
