Tennessee Softball 2025

It’ll have to take a national player of this magnitude to take on the issue. It happens, but unlike Bahl going back home after leaving the machine. You have the best pitcher leaving the last day to go to the machine for a reported amount.
I mean I guess since Oklahoma is joining the sec next year with 3 of its top pitchers gone, 2 juniors who combined for 97 innings during the 2024 season, & a freshman you do whatever you can to get the biggest name out there

Believe much of Faw’s issues offensively was the Malvauex teachings and taking it to the field.
I agree, there have been a few hitters who I have watched the last 2 seasons seem uncomfortable with how they look in the box and I contributed that to what Chris was teaching.

I dont care who the hitting coach is, hitters hit and with only 3 hits all year you’re not a hitter. Plus leading the team in errors is hard to justify playing her because of her defense. To bench Des for her the last game of the season was a sign to Des and I guess without her leaving she’s not smart enough to figure that move out.thats a move a travel ball coach pulls to make sure a player doesn’t come back the next year.

He should’ve been fired that Monday after the loss of Alabama. The teams hitting was terrible under him and shame on Karen for not getting more involved with the teams hitting. You don’t change hitters swings in the middle of the season. That’s what the offseason and fall is for. I’m glad he’s at Auburn, that’s one team we can count on not beating us.

Which makes this whole situation weird because if she commits quickly to OU a lot of people will question, at least the ones who knew about this NIL deal wonder if any tampering went on
Tampering? Probably. Provable? No. Unfortunately it happens all the time in football. Almost like the NCAA treats it like going over the speed limit by 5 mph.

Think about it. With NIL in football, 99% of it is really pay for play which is against the rules but they call it NIL

If it’s provided here on a message board with a team of no party involved, it could be proved if it comes to fruition. As said earlier, it would have to take a player of this magnitude to get it started. Football is an unspoken rule to not open up the other skeletons by not having your own house clean.

All depends on how Stanford wants to ply it.

Knowing and proving are two totally different things. Zero chance the OU coaching staff reached out directly. And good luck finding out for sure what the NIL amount ends up being.

You can prove that?

Which part?
That you know the staff didn’t reach out or have involvement. The answer should be no. NCAA once involved has had no issue proving where money comes from and how it got there. Different times now from Cam Newton, Marcus Dupree and Albert Means but the amount and where can always be proven. Which goes back to in-season tampering.

Believe I’m talking in-season tampering and you’re talking everyday NIL. Believe my stance has been a player of this magnitude to halt the issues. A player hits the portal, explore the free market and capitalize.

I guess we should just give up on every player that isn’t an All-American as a freshman.

Once again some players don’t make the offensive transition from seeing travel ball pitchers to top d1 pitching very easy some take a season to be able to feel comfortable.

Hardest transition in any sport is HS SR to college freshman…throw mechanic overhaul into pitching/hitting and you get valleys early before the peaks.

So, you can’t say for sure if the coaches did or didn’t have involvement in some capacity.
Regardless of the sport, back channels are used.

Your worked up on tampering as being against the rules but disregard the fact that almost all NIL is against the rules cause it’s really pay for play.

Does it happen, yes. So it’s ok by your standard because that’s how it’s been. That’s not really an answer, just a spin. Did you miss the part where I said “a player of this magnitude” for the program losing the player to take on the issue. Remind me which team you pull for.

With NIL and the transfer portal all schools are tampering especially in season tampering. It's the failure of the NCAA and they're lack of being responsible and making real and up to date rules. Like pro sports with FA comes tampering rules, NCAA leadership is not smart enough to understand this.

Portal Rumor Mill
Washington MIF and Ole Miss CF to Lady Vols
Alabama SS to FL or GA
Canady to OU
Rylee Holtrof to FL, OSU or OU
Brockenbrough to an ACC School
NC Wellington Pitcher to FL
Charlotte players are following coach to South Carolina
Still No Pitchers to Lady Vols
Brockenbrough announced her commitment to Clemson yesterday.

They’re smart enough to understand it, but any rule they made would almost certainly be challenged in court immediately and they would lose, just like every other time the NCAA has been challenged. The only way they’re going to come up with enforceable rules on transfers and NIL is to make players employees and negotiate contracts and compensation. Anything short of that isn’t going to withstand a legal challenge and they’ve been told that. I know some of their lawyers.
