How was I not factual? We didn’t win it all last year and we never have. We win in the regular season but sh__ the bed in the post season. Happens every year. Somehow she needs to change what she is doing for the post season. How the frig was that not factual??Weird bar to set that every team that doesn't win the championship is a failure. And no, your post wasn't true last year. Again, I get your frustration this year because of the expectations, but at least be factual with the comments.
"Pooping the bed" every year is being factual? That means every single team not named OU has done the same thing the last several years. Again, weird bar to set as your definition of failure. How was I not factual? We didn’t win it all last year and we never have. We win in the regular season but sh__ the bed in the post season. Not failure? How’d I say that was failure. Frig me. All I said is Karen cant get it done in the post season. We seem to not hit in post season. That’s all I have said from the first post. That is as factual as anything I have ever posted. Until we hang a banner, Karen’s legacy will be not getting it done in the postseason. Good teams that just can’t get over the hump in the postseason. Maybe YOU need to look at your facts and face reality!! Geez."Pooping the bed" every year is being factual? I assumed when you mentioned that we were disappointing to watch , couldn't get over the hump in postseason, that was failure to you. If that wasn't what you were saying then I apologize on the misinterpretation. The reason I said that, is getting over the hump to me is not winning a championship only. A 3rd place finish, while it's not first and the goal, is nothing to sneeze at.Not failure? How’d I say that was failure. Frig me. All I said is Karen cant get it done in the post season. It’s absolutely nothing to sneeze at. With that said, if we are going to say a third place finish is good enough to appease UT fans and you, then I should feel grateful. I for one (probably speak for most UT fans) think Karen has had plenty of time to take the next step. Like I said initially in my first post, same ole song and dance with the Karen W. teams.I assumed when you mentioned that we were disappointing to watch , couldn't get over the hump in postseason, that was failure to you. Agree. It’s a trap, laid and baited by Les Miserables.I’m sorry, but I don’t fall into the “National Title or bust” mentality.
I've seen too many teams fire successful coaches merely because they “couldn’t get it done in the postseason.” And do the successors get over the hump and win the title? NO…THEY ALMOST ALWAYS DO WORSE.
But, I respectfully ask one question for the “win it all” crowd? How many seasons should a coach get before they are fired? Five years? Because whatever you choose, you most likely are going to be replacing coaches that often. National titles aren’t easy to win.
As long as a coach is winning conference titles and is in the conversation for a national title, they are doing very well in my book.
Faw is the current “golden child” she is going nowhere. Mealer played a level of SS not seen here in a long time. Yet, she would have just been a backup if Faw had not got hurt.
"You show me someone who's ok with losing and I'll show you a loser." Josh Allen
When you leave as many runners on base as we did against Alabama, we should not win the series.Might be good to get some batting practice throughout the season. We were hampered by the lack of mid weeks and at the start of the season we had numerous games cancelled. Learn to be aggressive at the plate as singles and players on base are good, but putting the ball in play when we have runners in scoring position is crucial. Hitting homers helps the pitching. Gottshall and Pickens pitched great games bar 1 inning in the super. A quality hit probably wins the series and we are in the World Series.
Who is this Weakley? Distant relative? Like their and they're? I'm content to always be more than average in softball. We're usually in the conversation for possibilities. Ms. Karen may get us there. For now, we support Coach Tony V. and team in the pursuit of besbol hardware....The point of his take is with Weakley at the helm it will always happen! Hopefully this is factual enough for JP0?
I couldn’t agree with you more. I don’t think Karen should be fired. I just think she needs to try something new when it comes to postseason coaching. She’s a great coach that I root for to get over the hump every year. She deserves to get a ring but she has to try another flavor of Gatorade or stay in a different hotel before game day. Just try a different approach because what she is doing doesn’t work against great teams in the tournament.I’m sorry, but I don’t fall into the “National Title or bust” mentality.

Make the program as strong as possible. Professors have lectured me on, "If you are a Principal and you have been at the same school for over 5 years and have not reached goals you have set, time for you to move to another school". Same applies here, IMO. To think that you will be number one every year is a fantasy. But when the opportunity is there you must do your best to win. 44-12 is very good, however it was not good enough. So…let’s hear what steps you’d take if you were the AD?
Because if you define “losing” as not winning a national title, there will only be one program in the entire country that is not a “loser” under your definition.
Tennessee softball went 44-12 this season and won the SEC regular season title.
