Muss is a master of the portal. Just inked Khalif Battle. He can just reload every year, whether its high school or transfers.

Cal at Kentucky set the standard for this. It matters more to recruits how they project in the draft than how they perform in college. Hence they're not at all concerned that Muss lost 14 games with 3 first round picks on the roster.

Maybe we ultimately have less room than we thought, if there’s no transfers out, Santi returns while JJJ & Uros leave, that’s only room for 1 addition…

Santi/Edwards/Carr
Mashack/Jefferson
Phillips/Phillips
Aidoo/Awaka/Estrella

The big unknown is when will Zeigler be ready, and how effective can Dilione be at PG? If the feeling is that Zeigler is ready for Game 1 and also that Dilione not only is capable of playing PG but playing it well, then maybe if there truly is just 1 spot maybe it is better served outside of PG/CG? A wing shooter in Knecht? Or a versatile 4/5 in Ledlum?

I think this is why I think Gainey will be asked a preferred walk-on. Santi comes , then we don’t worry about PG/CG as much. He leaves, we still go after a PG/CG but Gainey becomes our insurance.
Also, I think getting Knecht is higher on our list than Ledlum. With Knecht, we possibly use him as 3/4/and even 5 at times. Ledlum seems undersize to me.
