I'd probably have it looking more like...Let’s say Tennessee lands Tamba and BHH and Fulk opts to return...
Chandler/Vescovi
Bailey/Mashack
James/Gaines
BHH/Walker
Fulk/ORN/Plavsic/Anosike/Tamba
I was more just posting guys to show potentially the roster not as much who would play where or backup who...I agree some movement is likely, obviously if they land BHH & Fulk returns there isn’t as much of a need for a big, although we could still use one I’m not sure how appealing we would necessarily be. I think 1-2 transfers incoming is likely, probably guard type/scorer and a post.I'd probably have it looking more like...
Chandler/Vescovi
Bailey/Vescovi/Mashack
James/Mashack/Gaines (if he stays)
BHH/Walker/Nkamhoua/Anosike
Fulk/Nkamhoua/Plavsic (if he stays)/Tamba
I think Pember is gone, and I think one of Gaines or Plavsic is gone, as well, which opens up another spot that could change this, potentially. In that case, I think Tennessee likely pursues a scoring grad transfer guard/wing, backup PG, big man...in that order.
If Fulk elects to walk away, which I'm still not 100% sold on despite his emotional state during Senior Day, they likely push heavily for an immediate impact big man, as well.
If we land BHH, the roster next year will be a solid one regardless if there is additional turnover. Perhaps not as good as this year, it will just depend on what Fulk and BHH can give us down low.
As others have stated, i do feel like major turnover is coming though. If at least two of Pember, Gaines, and Plavsic leave (as I expect) that means we could potentially have anywhere from 5-6 new faces on this team next year. Jury is still out on how that will affect play on the court. Hopefully a somewhat normal off-season will help with the chemistry early on.

Not sure I see many minutes for Gaines next year, even losing Johnson & Springer we bring in Chandler & Mashack who are going to warrant big minutes...would look similar to this year for Gaines imo.I am hoping Ticket sticks around and seems to have coaches faith. Assuming 11 and 45 both go he should see a lot of minutes at the 2/3. Love to see Pember head to Belmont (my school) if he does not stick and not sure where Plavsic would best fit if he goes. Seems like Pember would be a real fit at Belmont. He was worth the shot (from Bearden also my school) and glad he got his shot. We have a classy bunch of guys all up and down our bench. Don't think coach will run any of them off after their post season meetings, but will shoot straight about how he sees their roles going forward. If the ONE TIME rule change happens it will impact lots of decisions, as sitting is a bummer.

Gotta agree.I don't think he'll "run them off" and he'll let them know that there is a place at Tennessee if they want to remain here, but I am sure Barnes will have an honest heart-to-heart with some of the back end of the roster and let them know the path to playing time here is slim compared to other schools. I guess the book hasn't completely closed yet on Ticket, but I'm pretty much out. He needs to put on weight/muscle because he is easily tossed around and I'm not sure he's capable of doing it.
He plays with high energy, but he's not a great defender and he's a liability on offense. I'm glad we gave him a shot, as he seems like a great young man, but his best interest is to probably seek playing time elsewhere, otherwise he is probably going to see minimal minutes. If this season is any indication, Barnes only really played him when he was trying to send a message to our guards after a stretch of poor play.
I know it's a pipe dream, but I can't help but imagine what we'd be like if Springer and Keon both return to go with Fulky, Chandler, Kessler and BHH. We'd be a legit candidate to win it all if all these egos mesh and Barnes can figure out how to manage them. Since this is UT we're talking about, it's certainly too good to be true and could never happen. Still, there are programs where their stars have been convinced to return to college vs going early to the NBA. Slim chance but a chance nonetheless.Hell of a lineup. Especially if ORN keeps making progress and Walker sticks around.
Fwiw aside from Kessler this is a name being tossed around the program as well...

Seems to me WK is getting more PT for NC....is it a given that he is transferring?Fwiw aside from Kessler this is a name being tossed around the program as well...

I would take this guy over Tamba....how does Tamba warrant a scholarship when he can only score 4-8 points in high school?Fwiw aside from Kessler this is a name being tossed around the program as well...
