I think if it were Kentucky and there was anything to the idea of him "committing immediately if offered", it would have happened by now. I still believe the anti-Calipari trend is growing in the bluegrass, and this season coupled with Cal's refusal to play Dontaie Allen (instate kid) more minutes is adversely advancing that belief. Cal has an agenda that extends beyond winning, and it is highlighting the 5* players that have the greatest pro potential to continue landing those type players. Players like Allen (or Powell) outshining those guys damages that systematic belief that UK 5*=immediate college superstar=lottery pick.Powell is almost certainly going to UK, but it’s nice to see we’re at least in it. Can’t win the lottery if you don’t play.
Now would be a great time for Cal to get audited. Surely after all these years he probably has luxurious fringe benefits and kickbacks from Nike the IRS AND FBI can find.I think if it were Kentucky and there was anything ro the idea of him "committing immediately if offered", it would have happened by now. I’m surprised Allen has said he’s stayingI think if it were Kentucky and there was anything to the idea of him "committing immediately if offered", it would have happened by now. I think JJJ will be the most improved player, next year. Before this Covid year, kids that have talent after 3 years with Barnes and the assistant coaches usually show a lot of development. Next year, I know what that sounds like, but I think JJJ really shows why he was a 5 star and ends up an all-SEC player. Really hope Corey Walker comes back, he has a really nice offensive game that could help this team, next year. I think Bailey and Vescovi will be better and I really hope ON shows us all something. Anything less than a NCAA Tournament bid will be a huge disappointment, even if UT doesn't add BHH, imo. Chandler's that good, at the most important position in college basketball and he has also made himself into a damn good 3 point shooter. Mashack is going to play, a lot, alsoChandler
Powell
JJJ or another good transfer
BHH
Fulky
Would be a nice starting line up.

If the 3 sophomores to take big steps in the off season it would be huge for next year. JJJ more consistent 3 point shooting and better driving/finishing around the rim, vescovi becoming a knock down 3 point shooter off ball and continuing to develop his handle, ON improving his rebounding ability and understanding of defensive assignments.I think JJJ will be the most improved player, next year. Hope you are right. James has a lot to like. Good kid who is skilled in many areas, coachable, and plays defense. BUT that aside I really question his demeanor, and not his skill. He is afraid of contact despite having an NBA body, misses point blank layups and disappears far to often on the offensive end.I think JJJ will be the most improved player, next year. Well, next year is probably his make or break year on whether he can be a NBA player or just a decent 4 year SEC playerHope you are right. James has a lot to like.
