ahh yea your right, thought I was missing someone. Would actually only be 2 transfers which seems right. Keon, Jaden, fulky, Pons, Anosike plus 2 transfers would be 7 spots right?

I forgot about Anosike staying but his scholarship not counting. So, yeah his scholarship comes off the books, but he stays, and now you are at 5 departures. So, that leaves 2 transfers which I guess is Pember and Gaines and makes a lot of sense.

I’m of the understanding that Pember is merely a formality, at this point. Unless I’m operating on bad info, I think he’s almost certainly gone. Gaines is the next most likely, IMO. Just no room for him with his absolute absence of offensive ability.

No it means 2-3 transfers. Pons and Fulky are graduating. Springer and Johnson are leaving. That’s 4-spots. So, expect 3 transfers. My guess is Gaines, Pember, and Walker are all gone if 7 really is the number.

It’s unfortunate if Walker is another Burns. I would have liked to see what he could do here.

So we’re looking at anywhere from 5 to 8 new faces next year is what it sounds like? Likely towards the higher end.

We have Chandler and Mashack, plus hopefully BHH and Tamba reclassify. Take 2-3 transfers I assume and maybe hold an open spot? Or are there any other high school recruits that we are in on for this class?

Yes, not from the horse’s mouth, but enough that I believe that he knows he’s never going to play meaningful minutes at Tennessee. Now, maybe he is OK with that, but it sounds like he wants to play, so I’d imagine that will have to come elsewhere. Maybe he hangs around and graduates in 3 years, then transfers out.

If Pember is leaving he should really consider LMU. He can still be reasonably close to home and have an opportunity to play on a regular D-2 national title contender.

Well they were just 13-12 in their first season without Forbes, and based on how they've recruited I think Pember having 2 seasons under CRB would have a shot to earn minutes there.

Out of that trio (Gaines, Pember, Plavsic), it is certainly Plavsic who still has the most likely chance to contribute as you said. You cannot teach his height and he did give some okay minutes in big games after Fulky went out with injury.

So no players on other rosters had limited offers? We beat out a P5 for Kent...Pember is probably your only example. Gaines was taken super early in the process which in basketball keeps teams from offering, plavsic we literally took from a P5.

Again, when you commit offers don’t come in basketball, you’re smarter than that so don’t act dumb. He’ll get picked up by a D1 if he transfers, probably having multiple options.
