You do realize there are many mocks that have him late 1st/early 2nd right? That is the range in which people come back every year, others go, but to act like it’s some wildly unrealistic thought is just wrong.Nope. I don't know why anyone thinks there is even a slight chance he comes back. It would be a pretty dumb move on his part. It would be selfish of us as fans to want him to come back.
He ain't coming back. He got better as the year went on and was one of the best PGs in the country and the end of the season. You do realize there are many mocks that have him late 1st/early 2nd right? Actually it wouldn’t be dumb on his part. He could improve his stock into a top 20 pick. Right now he is looking at late first early second in most mock drafts. Not saying he is leaving or staying, just saying it wouldn’t be dumb on his part to stay another year.Nope. I don't know why anyone thinks there is even a slight chance he comes back. He likely is gone, but again that’s not set in stone, you’re acting as if he’s a guaranteed lottery pick and that’s not the case. If the feedback he gets is that he’s a fringe 1st/2nd rounder he will have a decision to make and have to decide if he thinks returning can improve that stock. If his grade comes back as a 1st round lock then yes, he’s almost certainly gone…you’re acting as if guys who are late 1st round picks/early 2nd don’t ever return, that’s not the case.He ain't coming back. I would agree with you had he played the way he did when we started playing some of the better teams on our schedule. He looked like a kid that seriously needed another season. But as the year went on, his shot started falling...he already had elite speed and athleticism. Still needs to keep developing his shot. But teams draft more on potential now than ever. He's gone.

Could he get a waiver with all the stuff at Maryland?Qudus Wahab just entered the transfer portal for the second straight season. I know there was a good amount of talk about him last off season if I’m remembering correctly right? @bleedingTNorange
Tennessee’s coaching staff put in some work on the recruiting trail this week before the dead period descended and the college basketball world headed for New Orleans. Wednesday evening Rick Barnes along with assistants Justin Gainey and Gregg Polinsky were in Baltimore for a home visit with outgoing LSU transfer Brandon Murray and his family. Every time a new name hits the transfer portal the immediate question is, ‘is Tennessee going to get involved.’ There are tons of kids in the transfer portal, as of now Murray is the only guy that the staff is ultra serious about.
-VqThe fact that Murray and his family let Tennessee coaches in their home tells you right away that the former top-100 prospect is serious about the Vols. Having played in the SEC this year and having played against the Vols twice, Murray has some familiarity with the program and Barnes himself. It’s early, so more suitors could definitely enter the picture, but right now it sounds like Tennessee, Illinois and Maryland are all in the mix. Again, expect more teams to make a run.
Sounds potentially like QD, unfortunately. Like that kid's upside, but I could understand him leaving if it's himFwiw VQ also mentioned that someone else is definitely leaving, and it’s someone who didn’t really have a role this year, confirming what I had said the other day. Things can change but that’s the only other departure expected (KC too), and then everyone else returning…so room to add 2.

That someone happen to be Justin Powell?Fwiw VQ also mentioned that someone else is definitely leaving, and it’s someone who didn’t really have a role this year, confirming what I had said the other day. I agree with those below me sounds like QD. I know he didn't play much but JM had a small role. I dont think its Tamba. Powell doesn't make sense either imo he had a role just didn't perform very well in it.Fwiw VQ also mentioned that someone else is definitely leaving, and it’s someone who didn’t really have a role this year, confirming what I had said the other day.
