I get he's a bit of a hard ass in his coaching and expects players to play his style...but with the sort of results he's gotten not only from on court but in the draft I'm amazed players would rather go to play for a sub 500 coach who hasn't helped any of his players get drafted to this point.

Everyone just needs to take a breath and calm down, Murray was a guy that the staff loved and wanted to swing at, kudos for trying. As soon as he entered the portal everyone said he was Georgetown bound, Tennessee tried and couldn’t overcome those ties, it happens. I said weeks ago the board with 3 spots was

Phillips

Tennessee played it with Murray OV’ing and getting a decision quick there, now they can transition to Key, I would look for an OV from him in the next week or so probably as they try to move quick there. That still leaves you Collins & Phillips on the table obviously.

Now you have the 4th spot as well, the current strategy is pushing hard for Reneau, much like Murray that one isn’t going to be easy but it’s a guy this staff really likes and is who they want over a portal guy. Depending on how that recruitment goes I’m sure they could go many different directions but right now their focus is there.

I get everyone wants the whole roster assembled and in places on April 11th but some of these things will take some time, missing on Murray doesn’t hurt in the sense that was a nothing to lose type deal there imo, they tried…you start missing on Phillips, Collins, Key etc and I’ll worry.

I know. And Kennedy was a roughly 66%FT shooter as a lead guard which is a not good number. Doesn’t make him not a good player. Collins is still a good player.
