Phillips is the one good one. Key isnt anything good and ive watched Collins highlights, im not impressed.

So you ignored Reneau or also don’t think he’s good? And Yuri will be on preseason Bob Cousy list, but ok.

See I think people need to look at who we are gaining compared to who we lost so *theoretically*
Fulkerson-> Doesn’t count
KC -> Collins
VBJ -> Key
BHH -> Phillips
Tamba -> Reneau (or someone else)
QD -> Edwards
Now obviously Collins over KC wouldn’t be an upgrade but I think you can argument that everyone else would be an upgrade over who we lost. Even if we don’t get Reneau you can make an argument that whoever we get with that 4th spot (Tambas spot) would potentially be an upgrade

Correct…from who we’ve lost KC is the one you worry most about “can we replace”, toss out Tamba/Q/Bailey because they didn’t impact anything, so Fulk & BHH. I think Plav/ON/Aidoo themselves can match pretty much anything those guys gave you…so you look at Chandler’s spot, I think Collins would be the best case you could’ve hoped for. Probably won’t bring the scoring pop of KC but should be as good if not a better facilitator.

Barnes has a better track record with high school talent so we should just focus on trying to land Phillips/Reneau and if Howard goes to the Lakers, flipping his son.

To be fair, we did get one of the top transfers (at the time) last year in Justin Powell

1. Talk about hand picking a stat…he’s never shot 31% from 3 and he’s a career 37.4% 3pt shooter on 409 attempts, Admiral was 38.7% on 476 attempts, Turner was 34.1% on 502 attempts.

2. Getting buckets inside is something we struggled with tremendously, both from guards or bigs, he also gets to the line which is something we struggled with. He has 517 career FTA, far more than any other player on Tennessee’s roster last year.

1. He literally shot 31% from deep this past season?? Am I missing something??

2. He gets his buckets from putting his back to the basket and backing down smaller defenders. That’s not going to fly in the SEC. He’s not a strong ball handler and doesn’t have a quick first step- so driving to the rim isn’t going to work here either.

Very good point, so in actuality it really is just KC that you most need to worry about replacing which as @bleedingTNorange said Collins seems to be the best option there at the present moment unless someone unexpected hits the portal
