Perhaps not on this particular thread on recruiting, but I'm certain where I read someone state the Yuri has visited the campus in the last couple weeks.

Not seen that on this site anywhere…if that has occurred there’s nothing illegal about it though.

I guess I’m just curious where the great amount of confidence is coming from that we are getting Collins. I’m excited about it and I believe it, but I’m just curious is all. I don’t pay for VQ if it’s on there so forgive me if it is, and I’ve seen grant Rameys post about Yuri Collins possibly being interested as well. I just don’t know why some feel he is a lock.

Being a big fan of both Saint Louis U and UT makes your last statement in this post still a head scratcher. To my knowledge Yuri Collins isn't in the transfer. He only stated he is doing a NBA evaluation, and everyone knows he's not NBA ready player. So when I see things like Yuri has been on campus and he's a sure thing it makes me wonder what really is going on. Either way I'll be watching him play on one of my favorite college teams.

He is not in the portal, but it is increasingly clear that Tennessee has been in contact with his people thru back-channels.

Jordan Bone = drafted, Keon Johnson = drafted, Jaden Springer = drafted, Kennedy Chandler = drafted

Get an evaluation, figure out what you need to work on and then come to arguably one of the best developers in the country and play in one of the best venues and the best conference for a season. Put up 10ppg/5apg (or better) on a Rick Barnes team that wins 22+ games and go get paid.

8 games with 10+ assists for Collins. Wow. One game against Boston College with 19 assists. Idc who you play that’s im freaking pressive lol. Also against Auburn I think I saw he had like 14 points and 8 assists.

Sounds like he's more a facilitator than some of the others being mentioned. Kinda favor that from my PG. Nice chandler could get his more often than not, but if you're too dependent on one player, it makes you easier to defend. I'm down with Collins if he's the staffs target.

Watch this video of his 19 assist game against BC. Dude has such a good feel for the game, and his 3pt shot reminds me an awful lot of Chandlers. He is also very fast like Kennedy.

I don’t know of one but there very well could be one…from what I’ve gathered they liked how KC was used and like the system Tennessee runs, he and his family have watched a lot of Tennessee games and expressed an interest in coming here id Chandler were to leave.

Good info. I did not know about how much his parents liked the system Tennessee uses. After watching some video of his play I’m sold. Get him and give he and ZZ they keys to this offense.

This year he was 82%. He’s improved incrementally each year. 57% to 66% to 82%. So that’s a strength I would think.

That was the regular season SEC champ too, so if he can play well against them on SLU then he can do it with better players on our team.

I wasn’t sure at first myself, but after looking at the statistics, video, and seeing his play style I am 110% sold. I don’t think we could do much better than Yuri Collins TBH. Dude can absolutely ball.
