I quickly glanced at the SLU forum, too. I believe your original post was from VQ and Rob Lewis in the War Room. That's a little more than just rumor. I am not saying it's going to happen either, but Rob gets info from the coaching staff.

If you read all of my post I said that it came from a place that has been reliable. I'm sure Yuri was well aware of UT's need at PG plus SLU is losing another key 4 Star in Jordan Nesbitt as first he said he was doing a NCAA evaluation and now I understand he wants to transfer. The other reason that Yuri could be restless at SLU is that things did not go the teams way last year even with 20+ wins. I'm pretty sure they felt at the start of last year that SLU was a NCAA Tourney team.

Yuri is a very good PG but he's no where near as quick as KC.

Craftiness and creativity is just as good as quickness/explosiveness when used in the correct way. If he can get into the lane and cause defenses to collapse, then he is essentially doing the same thing as KC was.

My main concern is the shoulder surgery. He popped it in the last two seasons he played and had the surgery last year. Kind of sounds like a Lamonte deal.

Hopefully it isn't. Hopefully the surgery did him well. When I tweeted him about a week ago about playing for Tennessee, he liked the tweet. I understand that doesn't mean much, but yeah take that for what it's worth. Lol

I don’t recall Turner ever sitting out an entire year to rehab, he also had a pretty unique injury iirc.

Shoulder surgery is touchy. In a typical arthroscopic rotator surgery, 60% of competitive athletes return to previous form or better. Everyone is different and I wish him the best, but it’s not a foregone conclusion that everything will recover fully. Lots of shoulders become chronic.

I watched that game against Auburn and dude can play

SLU was up 13 in the 2nd half. It was just one of the games I thought the coaching was not very good. Yuri fouled out late in the game. My favorite game by him last year was at George Mason where he scored 32 including the final basket before the buzzer in 2 OT's.
