Tennessee Vols Basketball Recruiting

Bahahah that wasn’t your point at all, and if it was the way you went about making it was horrendous. We need to up our NIL game, yea that’s been discussed 5k times, but no we don’t need to be paying players $10m a year either lmfao
My point that I have been trying to make recently. Of course I wasn’t talking about the game that I was trying to do for fun.

Can Reddish, RJ Barret, and Zion Williamson at Duke were a better and more high profile trio than the trio were discussing, and they weren’t sniffing 45 million combined between the three.

Dal, I think you have a warped perspective of money….

That’s a far cry from $10m+ lol
I said originally, for something fun, that I admittedly put no thought into, because like I said was for fun, that I would give 11 million. Just like Nico, that would be pay over their years at Tennessee. Not at once. I didn’t think anyone would really put any thought into the numbers, because like I said, it was for fun. I forgot that you literally tear every detail apart. Not my problem.

NIL wasn’t around for them. That was 3 years ago I think. The market changed, and changes frequently.

My point has been made. We are failing to pay. Our guys what they are worth. If that is fixed line reported, good. If not, be prepared to go through the Tyndall year for 10 years.

Not giving someone $10 million for one year of service is NOT failing to pay. Be realistic man, come on.

March Madness is so volatile. You’re acting like bringing in Hunter, Smith, and Phillips guarantees us a championship. It does no such thing. It doesn’t even guarantee we make it out of the first weekend!

Never said for one year of service. Like I said, I thought it was a given it would be spread upon their time here

What do you mean “significance” ?

Anyone can go to Spyre's website right now and contribute some funds to the NIL fund.

If you're contributing at the highest advertised level, you don't have any say or insight whatsoever into how the money is spent. You'd need to be eclipsing that by 10x, minimum, in order to even get your foot in the door as someone contributing significantly enough to be part of the "process."

I know for a fact UK players are making 700,000-800,000. If we are not hitting that threshold as well, our failures are by our own doing.
Is that info published somewhere? How do you “know for a fact”? Not saying you’re wrong, just curious how one becomes privilege to that data

This is not downplaying the basketball program in any way but you’d have to be crazy to think we’ll invest more money into basketball whenever it’s not the #1 priority.

That’s just reality.

We are really good at spending other people's money.

You get $10 million, you get $10 million, you get $10 million!!!!!
Who said we were spending other peoples money? Lol I literally said if it were my money. It’s not. I understand not paying 10 million. I understand not paying 5 million. I understand not paying 1 million. But it sounds like our basketball players were getting the short end of the stick for awhile.

How do you know that’s accurate and not simply an urban myth?
I know it’s between those numbers. I do not know the exact numbers. When you see Kentucky players leaving malls with 6-7 bags and driving brand new cars, it’s pretty easy to confirm.
