Tennessee vs. Kentucky in the Sweet Sixteen. Are you nervous?

Big time nervous…..

For Kentucky fans. Just imagine all that history and titles your basketball program has while being a laughing matter in all other sports and then losing to your main sec rival in the sweet 16 in the first ever ncaa tournament game against them. Would be devastating to their fragile ego.

UK women lost yesterday as well. They had a better year than Tennessee but are now going home. Let's send their men home.

CRB has the players and a week to prepare for KY plus 2 other teams. I like our odds. He is coaching the best I have seen him coach.

We have players senior leadership on the floor executing. Defense and rebounding with enough Offense to win.

At this point not a whole lot you can do about it. I don't think any of our players are worried and they have an advantage because they are seasoned and know what to do from the 2 losses suffered this season.

Unfortunately, the things that you cannot control is location, opponent, and officiating. It is what it is? so, play the game.

Ridiculous.

We’re a legit top team in the country. Kentucky is not. You can just tell that they’re not in the category that Tennessee is. Kentucky would never beat Auburn in the SEC tourney.
You can downplay Kentucky all you want, and I hate them more than anybody, but to say they aren't one of the country's top teams when only 16 are left playing is delusional. They've beaten us twice, along with Duke, Florida, Gonzaga, etc. Are they inconsistent? Yes, but this time of year I 100% guarantee you they, along with every other team, are laser-focused on the next game.

They blew a 10 point lead to mediocre OU and had to have a last second shot to win. Then they got blown out by Alabama by 30. I’m not sure beating Troy and St. Mary’s after that qualifies as playing out of their minds.
They didn't play St. Mary's. They whipped Illinois yesterday. You can downplay them all you want but if you don't think we're going to get their best on Friday in a do-or-die situation, you're wrong.

Nope. Not worried about it. If UK shoots 50 percent from the field again and gets a million second chance shots then well that would suck. I don't expect it to go that way though.

Will Volnation travel well to Indy? Seems like a relatively easy drive fro Knoxville
I think we will, but will be outnumbered on Friday by Purdue and Kentucky by a good bit. I noticed they opened up some more sections in the upper deck for tickets for the Friday session only. If we’re still playing I hope to be there Sunday.

Considering I live outside Lexington this game makes me sick to my stomach. If we loose to them for the third time it will be really tough being a Vol fan here.

It will be majority UK and Purdue fans. The key will be, who will the Purdue fans cheer for? I have a feeling it'd be us because most despise UK fans and their arrogance.
Honestly I think it will be a pretty late arriving Purdue crowd since they are the second game. A lot of Purdue fans can come to their game without having to take Friday off, etc. the arena might feel fairly empty in the first half.

Glad to get to play them again, but evidently we don't match up well need to determine exactly what were doing wrong against them. They are certainly beatable lost a lot of games this season to teams we've beaten.
