Big time nervous…..
For Kentucky fans. Just imagine all that history and titles your basketball program has while being a laughing matter in all other sports and then losing to your main sec rival in the sweet 16 in the first ever ncaa tournament game against them. Would be devastating to their fragile ego.
Here we go!!!! This is the wayBig time nervous…..

You can downplay Kentucky all you want, and I hate them more than anybody, but to say they aren't one of the country's top teams when only 16 are left playing is delusional. They've beaten us twice, along with Duke, Florida, Gonzaga, etc. Are they inconsistent? Yes, but this time of year I 100% guarantee you they, along with every other team, are laser-focused on the next game.Ridiculous.
We’re a legit top team in the country. Kentucky is not. You can just tell that they’re not in the category that Tennessee is. Kentucky would never beat Auburn in the SEC tourney.
They didn't play St. Mary's. They whipped Illinois yesterday. You can downplay them all you want but if you don't think we're going to get their best on Friday in a do-or-die situation, you're wrong. They blew a 10 point lead to mediocre OU and had to have a last second shot to win. Then they got blown out by Alabama by 30. I’m not sure beating Troy and St. Mary’s after that qualifies as playing out of their minds.
I think we will, but will be outnumbered on Friday by Purdue and Kentucky by a good bit. I noticed they opened up some more sections in the upper deck for tickets for the Friday session only. If we’re still playing I hope to be there Sunday. Will Volnation travel well to Indy? Seems like a relatively easy drive fro Knoxville
Honestly I think it will be a pretty late arriving Purdue crowd since they are the second game. A lot of Purdue fans can come to their game without having to take Friday off, etc. the arena might feel fairly empty in the first half.It will be majority UK and Purdue fans. The key will be, who will the Purdue fans cheer for? I have a feeling it'd be us because most despise UK fans and their arrogance.
