Tennessee vs. Oklahoma State Game Thread - 10:30 AM EST - ESPNU

I know everyone was talking about how improved Stokes looked, he has a different body, etc. He looks the same as last year. He still cannot create his own shot. There was also a ton of talk about Mcbee being dialed in. He looks the same as he has his entire career. He can hit shots against mid-majors, but cannot shoot over D-1 players. There was a lot of hope that Golden would look better. He looks the same.

I went to the Victory game and was concerned. After the Kennesaw game I was worried. After the UNC Asheville game, more of the same. Now this game. This is not an aberration, or refs, or rust. This is the same team as last year and I expect the same results.

If we finish 2nd in the SEC then I'll take it. I don't think we'll lose some of those non conference games against mid majors this year like last year.

I like Cuonzo, but his reluctance to even acknowledge zone defense is frustrating. When you have a quicker team in OSU and we can't slip screens, zone defense would be effective..especially with more talented players such as Smart.

Umm, not really.

I feel like we were. A few plays here or there, and we would have been right in it, despite how awful we played. Sorry I don't chalk up a season as a failure cause we play poorly in one game at the beginning of the season.

Trod and plod. Tried to warn you guys. It's going to be a long year. CCM did NOTHING prior to coming here. Made the dance? Uh no. Won his conference? Uh no.

UT hired below its potential because of the Pearl mess. And now be prepared for 3 years of very mediocre bball.

Talk about a statement coming back to bite you. Going to look very foolish with this post.

And lose to MTSU at home in the NIT? Cool.

Yeh if we get that high of a seed in the sec tourney like we did last yr I will take that. If u wouldn't something is wrong. I don't know if you expected to win every game this yr or not. We are without maymon. We should expect it.

seriously for someone whos been here four years mcbee just blows my mind! still cant drive one bit, i dont care if he has an off day shooting but he hasnt improved his offensive game one bit which i find almost impossible! we can bring in any local kid who "hustles" and tell them to jut practice shooting all day everyday and get the exact same results

We will prolly still go 2-1 during this tournament just like most thought we would.

I realize this is just one game, however, Asheville played us too close yesterday. This UT team should have dominated that team.

Prepare to be flamed.

Its not ONE GAME. It is all four games played so far this year. I am not jump of the bandwagon. This looks exactly like last year. We will win when hit 3s. We will lose when we miss 3s. Will take a crap load of 3s.

Agreed. He needs to learn zone, but is reluctant to use it because he really doesn't know how to coach it.

I don't either, but this game hasn't been close since about 5 minutes in.
