I'm in the same boat as you bro. I was like 7 when he played there. I had to look him up also  doesn't mean we aren't VFL, just means we aren't 50.:salute:

No, it just means you want us 50 year olds to serve up everything on a silver platter for you instead of you doing some work and NOT asking ignorant questions. I know you didn't ask it but the guy you are defending did.

bUTch made a great move in bringing in Terry Fair. Terry knows what it means to be a Vol from the glory days of the 90's and will be a huge help. He has instant credibility. This is a win.

Coach bUTch hit a homerun on this deal.

Welcome home TF!!!

I think our CB's just got better already.

He'll relate instantly with all our players and all the DB's will pay closer attention when he speaks.

All SEC 2 times, 1st round NFL draft pick and still young enough to relate with the kids we're recruiting and that extra credibility in several areas WILL help us on the field and with recruiting too.

I have to agree, bUTch gets it and knows how our former players can help us rebuild back to where we should always be.

Nice to have TF back in the house.

VFL...GBO!!!

Terry Fair and Deon Grant are my two favorite DBs from TNs decade long run.

TF's one-handed interdeption against Florida. And DG's 3 int game vs Auburn--still iconic plays.

I have NEVER heard Neyland louder than I did when DG picked off the first pass of the game and ran it back for a TD.

Welcome back, TF! Good to have Tennessee blood in the ranks.

Don't forget Dale Carter, he was wicked good and played with a 'tude! :vava:

Either GA (Graduate Assistant) or Defensvie Quality Control Assistant are both entry level type positions. It gives him a chance to learn the ins-and-outs of coaching. Those that are saying "how do we know he can coach"....need to realize this.

It is good for him and good for the program.

As far as recruiting, in either GA or Quality control, he can not be involved in Off-Campus recruiting.

It is possible to be a quality control assistant as a graduate assistant. WNOX is who is reporting the GA status.

Re: If Terry Fair is a Quality Control guy, then he is a full time coach correct?

I'm working to find out exactly what he can and can't do in terms of aiding in coaching.

- Hubbs. I guess we'll see what happens. I don't care if he's a GA, an assitant, or whatever. I'm just glad he's here in some capacity. :hi:

I didn't really know who the heck this was...then realize he played in the 90's when I googled him...but I was born in 93 so I didn't really know this guy. Don't kill me, I have heard of other players in the 90's...just not him for some reason. Apparantly he was great here and this is a great hire so I'm happy if ya'll are happy! haha GBO!!!

no reason to know him based on your age. honestly, i remember him from the Lions as a KR/PR more than with UT. you did look him up, tho, which is :good!:
