Texas A&M coming to the SEC????

I won't jump the gun Aggie but if A&M joins the SEC this Monday, I'll be sure to welcome ya to the family. Expansion is inevitable for the future of college football and if the SEC has to expand to keep up with the future, then I am glad it's with Texas A&M.

That's the thing, other conferences are adding because...well, their conferences suck as a whole. The SEC has the luxury of not having to do that.

Exactly. I'd be fine if the conferences stayed as is. But I am glad to see the SEC is being proactive and keeping pace with the PAC 12 and Big 10.

So no championships in the major sports? And good luck in basketball without Turgeon.

who?? Kennedy has been killing it on the recruiting scene, grabbing a top 40 prospect in 2012 and a top 30 prospect in 2013. As long as Kennedy is a decent coach, which i assume he will be, A&M will be very good in basketball. Also, show me a sport where UT is better at then A&M. not being cocky, just curious.

Like I said before, good luck. I think you're going to need it. I've watched Kennedy for the past 5 years.

Think it will matter?

Legislature scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday, thinking they could hault the A&M move for the 22nd. A&M then did a power play move and changed the date for Monday. SEC is having a presidents meeting on Sunday. Expect word of the official announcement Late Monday. :hi:

This will be fun.

A&M fans are the most delusional fans in the nation by a wide margin. Kyle Field's 9:1 male:female ratio is excellent as well. Putting these never has beens in their place like Arkansas will be sweet.

Actually, Arkansas has been about as middle-of-the-pack as it gets, 6th in the SEC in conference winning % and division titles since 92 IIRC. Aside from about half of the Frank Broyles tenure, mostly in the 60's, they have had about the same level of success in the SEC that they had in the SWC. Relatively close in-conference winning % and frequency of division titles to conference titles/co-titles with no championship game.

I think A&M could step into the west and expect to be in the SECCG on a semi-regular basis right off the bat.
