Texas A&M coming to the SEC????

Sh-t just got real?

And the Texas Legislature is scheduled to meet on Tuesday. The A&M BOR are trying to get to the SEC before the Legislature stops them. The SEC is already holding a meeting this weekend.

The Texas Legislature cant keep A&M from leaving but they're gonna apply all kinds of pressure.

SEC Sunday meeting and ATM BOR meets Monday. Expect an announcement by the end of Monday, maybe.

Didn't we all call this last summer anyway?? Texas killed the Big 12...but like I keep saying it will be A&M,OU,OSU, and Mizzou...schools that bring more than just football but are pretty decent in other sports as well

Seems likely. If that's the case, probably either mizzou or double down the state Texas (Texas tech)

Can't see anyone else likely as part of a just 1 team deal

MU maybe, But Tech doesn't offer much. i would rather have Baylor than Tech, at least they have a good womens b-ball team.

I see MU and maybe, maybe OU. They have to get away from OK ST pkg deal. But ATM, MU, Duke, and North Carolina?

Could be, if that happens, there goes the PAC 12's vision of tu, OU, OKST, and MU. It would look more like Boise, KU, another two.

KU's getting left alone to (probably) the mountain west conference

The parts involving them last year were proof of that

I'm loving this pissing contest between A&M and the legislature. I think A&M is my new second-favorite SEC team. . . . at least until Dalton Santos switches his commitment.

link to show what? that baylor is horrible at football???
Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and TCU are all YEARS ahead of baylor. Houston will be better then Baylor once they get into the Big12. Hell, i bet Texas State is going to be better then baylor.

A&M is Great in other sports. :hi:

Looks like by this time 72 hours from now, the SEC will be welcoming it's 13th member.

If it indeed happens, welcome to the best damn conference in the country Aggies. I think you'll fit in just fine :hi:

The SEC does not need expansion. Teams in the SEC will still have elite in-conference strength of schedule no matter who the big least or the big-owned by the SEC or the pac-80 might add. The teams in the SEC are just good, we don't need to add numbers like the pac-10 or big 12. TAMU's "academic prowess" won't help to improve UT's academics.
