Texas A&M/SEC megamerge thread extravaganza

Only person that will be mad will be Aggie fans after they take a beating year in and year out in the SEC.

+100.

Enjoy the middle of the pack in the West for the next 10 years. Maybe by then the "SEC" recruiting pitch that 13 other schools get to use will have given A&M the leverage to crawl to the top.

Sandwich Pride, baby.

Additional teams added will be based on their ability to enhance a TV deal (i.e. add more TVs to the SEC viewership). For that reason, Missouri makes a lot of sense. As for teams east of the current SEC, I can't see anyone from the ACC other than VT...I think the "traditional" ACC schools would be very hesitant to tear down the long-standing rivalries and traditions.

haha wow..

Texas A&M and Mizzou ... Talk about a downgrade. I thought the Pac -12 did a bad job with their additions, now the SEC is right there with them.

Sad day.

99Gator green light? To leave as well or ? Sorry just trying to keep up with this. Ga. Tech is another team that may be involved in this aswell. Arkansas might leave the SEC for the Big12 you never know.At this point no one knows whats going on I guess we will find out soon

FSU-UF would actually mean something. But im with you. I think if ACC teams start defecting all hell could break loose

About as much chance as me walking on Mars this afternoon.

I'd rather have Boise St vs Texas' lil sister! TCU to the BIG East proved geography doesnt really matter anymore

Everyone name their choice for 14..then 15 and 16.

14 -Virginia Tech
15- Missouri
16- West Virginia or NC State

14 - West Virginia (gets exposure closer to the media markets in the Northeast). Plus, solid programs in football and basketball.

15. VaTech (similar exposure as West Virgiania, but more toward the DC area).

West Virginia and VaTech also take the conference into new states.

16. I prefer Florida State, but TCU would be a unique choice. They would take the conference into the DFW area. aTm is more east and south toward Houston. Texas is a big-a$$ed state.

The A.C.C. has traditions outside of basketball?????? Please tell me what these are, because I live in Raleigh/Durham & half way thru football season they are all ready for the B-Ball to start. S.E.C. is tradition G.B.O.!!!!

Weren't they talking about it last year when the Big 12 started losing teams? Or was that just smoke? I don't really care who goes where cause I'm a Vol. Always have been always will be and none of these schools scare me. It does however make it tougher and will most likely take away OOC games as far as tough ones anyway
