Texas A&M/SEC megamerge thread extravaganza

My gut feeling is that the 14th school will be WVU.

1. No political pressure
2. under the radar
3. opens up the Pittsburgh market
4. easily slides into the east division in case the SEC decides to stay with 14 teams (unlikely)

Hopefully not all Texas A&M fans feel as entitled as some of the ones posting in that thread

Given that I'm about the only Aggie who posts here, I have to assume you feel I'm acting entitled. Sorry if it came across that way as that is not how I feel. I can't say I speak for all Aggies....however, I think that most of us feel fortunate to be in this situation.

Deerpark, so have you heard that it's a done deal?

I've been given the indication that they had the necessary votes to extend an invitation and that the Commissioner has to make a decision on an invitation.

I would like nothing more than for this information to be wrong.

Nah, you seem alright. I was referring to the link for the A&M board that was posted. You're good

Mizzou is acting hard to get and WVU looks like the girl smiling at the bar that keeps starring at us.

Why you hatin?!!! A&M is an adidas school. Thought of all people you'd be happy. Maybe your adidas stock will rise a little.

Ask LSU and Auburn how they felt about their WVU home and home series. Place is a ****hole, and the fans aren't any better.

Because real schools stand up to their rivals instead of running away to another conference to get away from them.

Tell Oklahoma that as well. They're wanting to get out also because of the LONGHORN NETWORK. I don't blame them a bit for wanting to get out of a conference that's ran by one school.

Hopefully not all Texas A&M fans feel as entitled as some of the ones posting in that thread. I know a couple aren't A&M fans but some are making comments about who they don't want to join the SEC. Seriously??? A lot of SEC fans didn't want to expand past 12 and some A&M fans are actually complaining about the potential addition of other teams. That's annoying...

WOW!!!

Really? Going to a better, a much better, conference is running away?

That's similar to having a wife that constantly cheats on you and having Adriana Lima call and propose. Would a real man stay with his cheating wife? If so call me panty waste!

Hearing the SEC vote to admit Texas A&M was 10-2 and that West Virginia is squarely on the SEC radar as a potential 14th member.
