I really like this idea. A&M is a solid school with a good football history and the football program is on the way back to being a perennial Top 20 team like when I was a kid.
Their traditions are unrivaled and the rest of the sports teams consistently compete for and win championships. This only strengthens the SEC, makes competition tougher, and further bolsters the best conference in the NCAA.
The University of Texas would have been a terrible fit for the SEC and the arrogance they have displayed throughout this whole process has really strengthened the negative feelings for their program, both in their own state, and nationally. I don't care if they can dictate the market, doesn't mean they should be able to bully all the other conference teams into diminished returns to buoy their bottom line. That crap wouldn't and shouldn't be allowed to fly in this "nape of the woods, neck of the wape". It will be fun to see how this all plays out after A&M leaves.
Welcome aboard, Aggies! Can't wait to see y'all on the schedule in the coming years.
I hope we annihilate y'all in basketball and football. You can have baseball.
