That good enough?

NCAA just gave Penn St the slow death penalty. It is going to be rough watching a bad football team play in a half empty stadium for the next 10-15 years.

Now did the punishment say coaches could contact these kids (first) about selling transfer to their university?

Or is it just a "if a student would like to transfer after this, he may now do so without penalty (so start looking if you would like)"

Pearl wasn't fired for covering up felonies that likely have been going on for 30 years.

I'm not comparing what the two did.

But people are entitled to freedom of speech in this country and a (somewhat) right to protest on matters, even if we feel it's wrong or stupid

If I might have misread your first post as more serious than it actually was though, I apologize

And the entire economy of central pa.

Didn't think about that. This isn't even including punishments that will be handed out in the form of settlements. Is it crazy to think that over the next decade that this will cost Penn St. close to a billion dollars? Add up fines paid, settlements reached (these victims are going to get way more than the 1-10 million dollar number thrown out), revenue lost, decreased number of attending students, donors who stop giving.

I would say it would be closer to a billion than half a billion.

On a lighter note, we'll be expecting 2 Alamo Bowl trophies in the mail by the end of the day. Thanks Dr Emmert. 'Preciate that.

Sorry. You still keep the loss on your record.

And LOL at Aggies giving a crap about the Alamo Bowl.

There was a little sarcasm with respect to suspending the students. No apology necessary.

Dude, vacate not forfeit.

If it's any comfort, we don't get any outback bowl trophies either

Has anyone started one of those threads about which players Tennessee needs to poach. If not please don't that's just classless IMO.

Someone might have, but are we even sure coaches are allowed to poach here or do the recruits have to come to them?

Will Paterno keep his record for most wins now or will there now be an asterik beside it and Bowden becomes the leader in wins?
