That's racist!

How could he attempt to unify everyone if a group of Americans were immediately opposed to him no matter what, long before he even won the primaries?
What would the effort cost him to do what some think he intended on doing but couldn't succeed? lol.

And don't give me the "everybody" horse$#1+, Luther tried that goofy shiz. Nobody is holding him to that standard. Thats a half azz cop out.

They are however pointing out that he never intended on reaching across the isle or "attempting" to building a bridge on race, but rather ran away from that at every turn.

Unfortunately they're moving from big government socialist Democrats to supporting big government socialist Republicans

Atleast they are moving instead of standing still . I believe Luther is right , Trump is devisive .... for the liberal party . Voting for a party just because your mom and dad did shouldn’t be a reason , these people give reasons , that’s a good thing it means their brains cells are bumping together . That’s always better than towing a party line just because .

I have a hard time with this whole argument, as it’s apparent we all do. Unfortunately, it looks as though attempts to divide us, the populace, for the gains of the “governing class” are working. We can no longer look at each other as children of God, brother and sisters, because religion is being/has been marginalized. We can no longer see each other as fellow Americans, because America is now mine or yours and not ours.

We are being bamboozled. Right, left, and center by those is the “governing class.” They are no longer representatives of the people or of the States all working together to better the Republic. Rather, they are individuals working for their team against the other team, to beat the other team into submission, so their team can control the republic.

Gone are the days when compromise meant both parties walked away feeling f***ed and the country moved forward. Now it’s either win or lose at all costs and no one is actually accomplishing anything.

Anyway...

TERM LIMITS .

Couldn't we say the same about Trump?
Yep. I think the difference is that people opposed Trump's policy ideas. Some (note I said some, not all, so no twisting my words) opposed Obama for obvious racially motivated reasons. Why else would some question his citizenship, secret Muslim, etc.? It was classic use of "othering" tactics.

Of course I think it's because it contains more racists. I think Obama was working toward a much less racist society. The people on here who claim Obama only divided and made it a more racist society, are the people who were uncomfortable with a less racist society. Many were perfectly happy and content with the way things were. Thus....MAGA
We must be less racist now then when Barry was in office , where are all the race riots ? Where is BLM ? Why are they front and center instead of Antifa like they were during the Barry years ?

TERM LIMITS .
I've thought about plowing through the political career just to put an amendment for term limits on the official agenda. I'm extremely for this. No more lifetime salary, no more lifetime healthcare, term limits and you get benefits during that time and a thank you for serving your country

I think Obama brought liberals and moderates together. There was a portion of the country that was never going to support him no matter what he said or did to unify people.

That make no sense. Why not just say he didn’t unite people. It’s not like he had to so there is no need to say he did but just not with people that disagreed with him.

TERM LIMITS .

I think that’s the most direct route to making those positions of service rather than self-serving. I imagine campaign finances would be by default “reformed,” or at least changed, if elected officials knew receiving those gifts wouldn’t actually benefit them. Think about how differently we’ve seen “lame duck” congress and senate members vote once they’ve announced retirement and aren’t beholden to a puppet master anymore.

Here is where I disagree with you.

Wonder how many voted for and accepted Barry simply because of race?

I'm sure his rhetoric and general shade played into it as well.

Yet once he was elected the left didn't talk policy and set themselves up to beat him in 2020 they threw a temper tantrum. Regardless of whether some disliked Obama due to his skin color or policy, there weren't protests and violence in the streets. 2 years after his election the right wasn't disrupting campaign rallies for D candidates and throwing hissy fits over his SCOTUS nominees.

Completely disagree, but we are going to derail the thread.

Here you go CWV, at what point are headlines accurate? At what point do people actually investigate the content and say "okay, that's not as bad as they made it out to be"?

Oh it’s bad. Bad for them. So they desperately claim it’s racist.
