That's racist!

Mayor: I Was The Victim Of A Racist Hate Crime. Cops: Not Even Close.

Darnell Byrd McPherson, the mayor of Lamar, South Carolina, believed she was victimized by a racist hate crime earlier this month when she found her and her husband's cars covered in a “yellow, sticky substance.”

However, local authorities and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) have since confirmed that there was no crime committed, determining the “yellow, sticky substance” to be pollen.

Nonetheless, McPherson feels she was victimized for the color of her skin. Perhaps by flowers and bees.

“My husband went out to the car to get some things out of the garage,” the volunteer mayor recalled to Newsweek. “He says, ‘Somebody’s painted your car!’”

“They started rubbing it,” McPherson continued, “and it was this yellow, sticky substance. So it was like, What is this? … It looked like little pebbles.”

To McPherson, this was a clear hate crime due to the history of the town: “I likened it as a hate crime because No. 1, there’s a history in our town of Lamar,” she said.

How does anyone from the south not know what pollen is? Are people digging that hard to be a victim?

Now that video of those Alabama kids drinking and talking is pretty racist looking. I'm not saying it's necessarily newsworthy but we'll see if it gets national attention or not.
Hoover and Spain Park are schools I'm guessing...?

This is the story the media wants. How long until they blame Trump?

Wasn’t Hoover on that MTV show about football?

These kids are obviously saying some dumb ignorant spit, but is it newsworthy?

The videos on YT but I'm not linking to it.

What a headline. If they really posted themselves to FB thinking it's funny, then they deserve whatever spitstorm they're about to go through. IF that's what happened.

This woman is too stupid to be an adult . I can’t believe she lives in the south or made it to adulthood without falling prey to natural selection .

Yes, there was controversy about light skinned blacks vs dark skinned blacks several years ago. why does that matter, my sister is olive skinned, I'm Victorian white. No biggie, i never understood it.
Yep. In black culture they often refer to each other as dark skinned or light skinned. Light skinned is a plus for females and bad for dudes.

If you are white you are alright.

If you are brown you can stick around.

If you are black, stay back.

Taught to me by my "Afro-American" friends waaaay back in my college days.
We all laughed our asses off over the stupidity and validity of it.

Don't tell that to our new Event Manager. He's a light skinned black guy that gets more ass than a toilet seat. Black, White, Latina, Asian, they all think he's somethin...

I get to live my life vicariously through him.
