Where is secondary education not free? How much money is thrown at that with less than stellar returns? The claim we've done nothing is completely ludicrous. The issue is you want the govt to do it when they've shown to be a failure. You can't buy equality and outcomes will never and should never be equal. That's the part that has become so hard to accept for the left. I'm not sure why since it's such a basic concept

Trade school programs are available now, many free or very close to it. The main problem is access to those jobs they train for. Too often those skilled jobs aren't available in the most depressed areas. And the latest protests/riots only made that worse. No one wants to invest in areas where there is civil unrest. And these are the areas jobs like this are most needed for POC.

Free college isn't the answer, it only serves to further water down an essentially useless degree for the best majority of graduates depending on the field/degree.

Throwing money won't solve the problem. Change has to come from within a well, there is a very purvasive cultural issue within the black community that must be addressed. The issue won't be resolved with resolutions and throwing money at it, though I agree there are programs that could be it great benefit.
