That's racist!

Ignore 79. Tbh, I kinda lump you in with him. Stop being so ******ned snooty.

I've been called worse. 79 is just entertainment though. This dude makes up more lies than Brian Williams. He always has some made up story like on the last page.

Was finally able to watch. I heard ga. Regardless the word is too prevalent within the arts and cultures of the this country. No one calls Asians Charlie's any more because the Asians let it die out. No one calls Germans, krauts anymore because it died out. But this one word has been a huckleberry and the black community won't let it die.

Don't give me the endearing to some people and don't give me the "we have the right to say it" nonsense. It's a trash word that will be eradicated once it ceases to exist in hip hop and entertainment culture. The stupidity behind the folks making a case for the term being appropriate under "xyz" circumstance amazes me.

So, basically, it's black people's fault that people call them the n-word. At least we know where you stand

Racist words towards White people has no real impact because White people just don't care. I've been called every name in their tiny book and it never phases me.

Racist words toward white people have no real impact because they weren't directly connected to systematic oppression in the past.

I honestly think most people here could easily see the difference, but simply don't want to.

Since we're on the HBO subject today. How many folks remember this?

And how many folks felt old after seeing that?

I think I'm getting closer to separation from the real racist Joe's on here. Today at the swim meet I let my baby girl hang out with two Mexican kids, one Black, and one Asian. I also sit and talked with the black girls dad, and ate a donut given to me by a Mexican woman! Boom!

Had HBO my whole life growing up in the 80's. Is that privilege?

We never had it, dad was a deacon and it was a no no. I did spend the night next door with my grandmother after I was around 12just to watch her at night. I had a friend spend the night who showed me how to wrap aluminum foil around the cable and it picked up hbo and the movie channel. Now that was privilege! Ha

Only a racist would brag about interacting with black and brown people.

If you didn't check your white privilege then you are still all Joes

Partially it is. Yes. Quit sensationalizing the ****ing word and being offended that it is still in the circulation of the English vocabulary. Millennials and younger have heard the word from music, film, etc. most of the time. Not racism. They learn the meaning because it suddenly becomes offensive.

So are you saying that it's the white mans fault the word is still in circulation? At least we know your ears are closed.
