Was finally able to watch. I heard ga. Regardless the word is too prevalent within the arts and cultures of the this country. No one calls Asians Charlie's any more because the Asians let it die out. No one calls Germans, krauts anymore because it died out. But this one word has been a huckleberry and the black community won't let it die.
Don't give me the endearing to some people and don't give me the "we have the right to say it" nonsense. It's a trash word that will be eradicated once it ceases to exist in hip hop and entertainment culture. The stupidity behind the folks making a case for the term being appropriate under "xyz" circumstance amazes me.
Racist words towards White people has no real impact because White people just don't care. I've been called every name in their tiny book and it never phases me.
Had HBO my whole life growing up in the 80's. Is that privilege?
We never had it, dad was a deacon and it was a no no. I did spend the night next door with my grandmother after I was around 12just to watch her at night. I had a friend spend the night who showed me how to wrap aluminum foil around the cable and it picked up hbo and the movie channel. Now that was privilege! Ha
I think I'm getting closer to separation from the real racist Joe's on here. Today at the swim meet I let my baby girl hang out with two Mexican kids, one Black, and one Asian. I also sit and talked with the black girls dad, and ate a donut given to me by a Mexican woman! Boom!

So, basically, it's black people's fault that people call them the n-word. At least we know where you stand
Racist words toward white people have no real impact because they weren't directly connected to systematic oppression in the past.
I honestly think most people here could easily see the difference, but simply don't want to.
