There is literally almost zero chance of the women not winning gold though. So the women winning gold can’t be the burden for proving this case.I think not winning gold would be a stronger argument for not including her, given that she isn’t one of the best 12
That's fair and certainly a possibility.Having seen minimal games but also reading up on CC and the turnover issue..I'm seeing a decent amount of turnovers on wide open passes fumbled by her teammates..its a similar argument to dropped passes by a WR...still counts as incomplete but when people talk about those stats it's always mentioned. She owns some turnovers but I'd say 2 a game are on her teammates at a minimum
I'm pretty sure (positive) in one of my original posts I mentioned stats...... Which is why you replied with a bunch of other players stats....... Turnovers omitted. If you're going to argue a point at least be intellectually honest in the debate. If you can't do that there's literally no point to this discussion. You said averages. The primary 3 when discussing basketball, for decades, being Pts/Reb/Ast.
You know, the 3 summarized by ESPN in the player pages above.
You said averages. Like I said.I'm pretty sure (positive) in one of my original posts I mentioned stats...... Which is why you replied with a bunch of other players stats....... Turnovers omitted. If you're going to argue a point at least be intellectually honest in the debate. If you can't do that there's literally no point to this discussion.
She isn't one of the best 12 her averages and game at this point are pretty clear.
You said averages. Like I said.
You never mentioned turnovers.
And I certainly didn’t “omit” them.
I copy pasted ESPN player pages. How dare ESPN omit turnovers lol.
She isn't one of the best 12 her averages and game at this point are pretty clear. She's got to have time to adjust. And that kind of pressure is probably best not to put on her at the moment, although she's a competitor and I'm sure she'd answer the bell if the opportunity presented itself.expand...
Lol gtfo with that weak ass nonsense. I don’t owe you anything.I'm asking you to explain it so I understand the emotional response. I offered a possible cause, you can continue to ignore it or set the record straight.... Completely up to you.
Lol you still harping about turnovers (now) and are all pissy that ESPN omitted(!) them. She isn't one of the best 12 her averages and game at this point are pretty clear. She's got to have time to adjust. And that kind of pressure is probably best not to put on her at the moment, although she's a competitor and I'm sure she'd answer the bell if the opportunity presented itself.
From one of my original posts above. Her averages (stats) and game ............
And yes the comps you posted did omit turnovers, maybe you didn't omit them but they did ignore arguably the most important statistic for her position.
I simply asked you to explain it because I like to try and understand others points of view and where they come from. But If you want to hurl childish insults have at it sport. I've got better things to do.Lol gtfo with that weak ass nonsense. I don’t owe you anything.
Least of all - “prove to me I’m wrong about this thing I just made up”
And again, the main comps I made are to white girls, you clod.
I understand it perfectly, as a token because of her popularity, not because she's earned it or deserves to be there.Lol you still harping about turnovers (now) and are all pissy that ESPN omitted(!) them.
You don’t even understand the value proposition of adding Caitlin Clark to the roster.
I guess I shouldn’t expect you to understand why reg season turnover rate, for this tournament, from the #12 player, is absolutely meaningless.
Lol no, you don’t understand at all. Which is perfectly illustrated by this statement, here -I understand it perfectly, as a token because of her popularity, not because she's earned it or deserves to be there.
Adding her to the roster is just as meaningless. It's not going to make or break the team and she will be an afterthought on the bench. You going to tune in to watch her hold that seat down?
They aren't going to grow the Olympic game no one internationally even knows who Clark is.
Lol, more “prove to me this thing I made up about you isn’t true”.I simply asked you to explain it because I like to try and understand others points of view and where they come from. But If you want to hurl childish insults have at it sport. I've got better things to do.
What does their color have to do with anything? Sounds like you are going out of your way to make this about race. But what do I care.
And equally makes your lamenting her absence meaningless. Why so emotional? There is no point, adding her to roster is meaningless. It achieves nothing and takes a spot from someone more deserving.Lol no, you don’t understand at all. Which is perfectly illustrated by this statement, here -
Well, you’ve inadvertently stumbled into the point. Bravo?
Adding her to the roster IS meaningless. The 12th player on a loaded roster that is 100% guaranteed Gold is of no consequence.
Which makes all your breathless bleating about averages, and turnovers, and experience - a laughably transparent, meaningless screed. Thanks.
No, I'm actually curious why you are so invested in her being left off the roster. I'm asking...... Again if you don't have it in you to adult and respond that's a you issue. I'm done caring, I think it's pretty evident to everyone what your issue with it actually is. Good day. I'm done with your childish trolling.Lol, more “prove to me this thing I made up about you isn’t true”.
Are you really this dense? I didn’t believe that you were.
Here, let me try and frame it in a way you might understand -
I’m of the belief that you may have boffed a few sheep in your day. Prove to me that you haven’t.
Her rookie numbers say she’s better than 42 year old Diana Taurasi. Seems your “yet” has already been established if one is to look at numbers.Isn't the point to put your best players on the team? To win gold? The women's game has gotten much more competitive internationally.
The easy answer is Clark isn't one of the best players in league, much less the country........ Yet.
And the tired argument of getting more eyeballs is lazy. Most of the people using it wouldn't watch anyway.
Is she though? I mean at 42 with international and Olympic experience....... Having already played with many of these players......Her rookie numbers say she’s better than 42 year old Diana Taurasi. Seems your “yet” has already been established if one is to look at numbers.
She is. Can’t hold back the hands of time and she’s busted. If she’s the #12 and all things equal then you go with youth. Is she though? I mean at 42 with international and Olympic experience....... Having already played with many of these players......
I dislike Taurasi, but in this instance I'd have no problem taking her as a bench player and leader over a developing Clark.
Lol, no it doesn’t. Two different reasonsAnd equally makes your lamenting her absence meaningless. Why so emotional? There is no point, adding her to roster is meaningless. It achieves nothing and takes a spot from someone more deserving.
I think it’s pretty evident that you and yours molest stray Collies. Now be an adult and prove to me that you don’t. Or maybe it’s a you issue. No, I'm actually curious why you are so invested in her being left off the roster. I'm asking...... Again if you don't have it in you to adult and respond that's a you issue. I'm done caring, I think it's pretty evident to everyone what your issue with it actually is. Good day. I'm done with your childish trolling.
I understand what you're saying but would offer two things:Well, you’ve inadvertently stumbled into the point. Bravo?
I think a lot of this is him objecting to you characterizing his responses as "emotional" FWIWNo, I'm actually curious why you are so invested in her being left off the roster. I'm asking...... Again if you don't have it in you to adult and respond that's a you issue. I'm done caring, I think it's pretty evident to everyone what your issue with it actually is. Good day.
