The 103rd World Series

This is one of the dumbest terms to come into sports in the last few years. Just because you root for a team that has become loathsome doesn't make everybody else "haters." Everybody else in America is rooting for the Rockies A) because they're likeable, and B) they're not the Socks or Yanquis.

Go ahead and start celebrating. A 2-0 lead is obviously totally insurmountable.

It's been around a lot longer than a few years.

It's been around a lot longer than a few years.

Well, yeah. But it only became part of the standard radio white-guy vernacular in the last few years, in the same way that suddenly this year "exposed" is the hot word that everybody constantly uses to describe what happened in a football game. It's been around forever, but suddenly its rate of usage has exploded.

What a terrible play by holliday. The guy goes 4 for 4 and the gets absolutely used on the pick off play, that is unbelievable. In other news the bosox closer was lights out as usual.

Red Sox up 3-0. We may not get to see Beckett again this year. Rooting even heavier for the Rockies tomorrow, just because I want to see Beckett again. I love good pitching.

i am happy to say that i'm confident my sox will win tonight. i'm not complaining(but then again i kinda am), i'm tired of world series sweeps. i need to see some close series. the nl is terrible.

i'll correct myself. the nl is terrible this year. but it has seemed like there hasnt been a really exiciting series in a long time. the alcs was good in 04 but since then it's been pretty bland.

2003 world series wasn't even good, event though it was 4-2. Beckett dominated and Clemens pitched in supposedly his last game, but it wasn't a great series in general. The series in 2001 and 2002 were both good though.

i dont really expect any good world series with the yanks. they're either on fire and are going to take it in 4-5 games, or they're going to play terrible(which seems to be a trend) and lose very quickly.

i was in the hospital during that series. i remember being in and out of it because of medicine and then i had a nightmare about randy johnson. i really dislike him.

Let's go Sox! I say that Beckett or Papelbon gets the MVP. Do they take the whole post-season into consideration? If so, then I go with Beckett.

....that may depend on what happens through the rest of the night, though...

Just became a 1 run game folks...

Okajima likes to keep these things close...and Papelbon gets the ball. It's getting interesting....
