I also like Furyk's chances. No matter what happens tomorrow, Furyk is the type of player that won't be fazed. Plus I picked him at the start of the week.

I like Furyk, too, especially if the wind is howling tomorrow, because he doesn't hit it real high, he can work the ball, and he's got the stones to knock in four footers for par all day long. Lee Westwood isn't going anywhere, either. And I wouldn't put it past Cabrera to post a 66 or 67 early.

Watson's struggles in his later years have been with the putter.

The amazing thing is, Watson is not a 59 year old that was competitive on tour even 10-15 years ago. He was pretty much done by the age of 35 as far as being a top player.

this Watson story is far more incredible than Norman last year. i'm looking forward to the final round tomorrow morning.

however, i like Westwood to win. not a fan of his by any means, but he may not get a better chance than he has now.

That was a putting issue that he seems to have addressed. He's still a ball hitter and the best wind player there is.

As to the Norman comparisons from others, Please. Norman's a mental midget. Watson, at the British at Turnbery with winds expected has to have as big of a mental advantage as Tiger over Mickelson.

Most excited I've been for a final round in quite a while.

It's a nice story, but are you seriously going to tell me that a 59 year old is the best wind player out there?

Not any more, but he's at the top of the list of guys vying for that title.

With the new hip, he's definitely one of the best from tee to green.

I'm pulling for Watson, just like the rest of the world, but in my heart of hearts, I say Westwood shoots 68 and wins it. With all due respect to Jim Furyk and Tom Watson, Westwood's the best player that's in contention, and he's no stranger to contending for majors.

Tee to green, Tom Watson was as good as anyone's ever been when he was in his prime. In my humble opinion, he's probably the most overlooked amongst the all-time greats of the game, along with Bobby Locke. His struggles with making putts inside of 6 feet probably cost him another 5 majors. He's also relentlessly competitive and mentally tough as nails. I am going to drag my ass out of bed good and early to see this great man try to make history, and I hope everyone else does the same.

He wasn't close to best tee to green. He was by far the best around the greens.

If I had to listen to the guy that introduces players at the Open for very long, I would probably rip out his larynx.

Seriously . . . He is annoying, and I think he does that for every Euro Tour event.

Anybody else notice Watson's hooded driver setup on 17 tee. Ugly, but it worked.

All it takes now is a Par on 18. I cannot believe he has held on like this.
