The 2008 Carolina Panthers thread

The game wasn't on tv here today, can anyone tell me what happened with a Denver player kicking D'lo in the helmet? And then Gross went after him or something like that?

they got one more home game. a chance to go 8-0 in B of A. now Denver can play some offense, but their defense is definitley suspect.

this is the perfect let down game as they could be looking ahead to what could be the show down of show downs in the NFC against NYG the following week.

don't look past Denver. Make the Giants game for Home field........it's already been moved to primetime Sunday night.......make it worth i. Be that team.

Oh so little faith in the panthers. Always a debbie downer after a win too. I need to take your panthers card away. :)

Woo go panthers! Great game, missed the second half after the first touchdown. Apparently there wasn't much after that.

just stating a fact. it was the perfect look ahead game. they didn't look ahead........credit fox and co. and the team with taking care of business.......and a tip of the hat to the OC........back to back weeks with what i would call pretty darn good game plans.

next week will be fun.......Go Panthers.

oh, and 8-0 at home.........that's awesome. after what we wen thru the past year and a half with home games........i can't tell you how big of a deal that is..........

hope they get a couple of playoff games at home.......

It's huge, it will pay off for them as well. Last year tickets were sold out for most home games prior to the season, I had a hard time calling in and getting tickets. This year it was a breeze to get tickets, only three games sold out preseason. Next year, I'm sure it will go back to being sold out. No one likes to go to losing games.

It will be great if they can win out to get that home field advantage, but that is a big if. Two big road games. NY worries me just because they are coming off of two losses, and I'm sure they want nothing more to get back on track no matter what it takes. Big prime time game! Can't wait!

the sad part about this is as great as the past couple of weeks have been.......getting to 11-3, a chance at home field etc.....

if they lose the next two and ATL and TPA win the next two........Carolina won't even make the playoffs.

how's that for drama?

and now you gotta get it done on the raod.

as much as i want home field, the game of the year right now is the New Orleans game. win that and you win the division and get a week off.

at the end of the day, that's the most important thing that needs to happen.

It's pretty big drama considering the other two have an easy ending schedule. I think the panthers will win at least one of the two. N.O. has nothing to play for, besides trying to end the season with a win and/or trying the ruin it for Carolina, which neither will be all that joyous for them in the end since they know they will be done either way.

Windy is right, you are a debbie downer. I was feeling great until I read your post:)

They will win at least one of those games:crossfingers:

Go Panthers !!!

Just watch it, if the panthers were to actually make it to the playoffs and homefield advantage, Jake is going to be like, they got by this season without a loss at home, but this is playoffs, this is a bigger mentality, I'm not so sure that they can handle it.

I hope your talking about the poster Jake, and not Delhomme.

Well if it were Delhomme then he would be saying we instead of them. :p Besides he wouldn't be as negative about his own team like the poster Jake. :)

Very true. Especially considering how well Jake has played in the playoffs.

What pisses me off is that Dallas won so we didn't already lock a spot up. But I feel good going into this weekend, and I think since we are still going to be picked to lose, it will motivate the guys.

oh good grief.......it's not being a debbie downer to state a fact.

if we lose the next two and tampa wins the next two we go from battling for home feild to watching on the couch.

that's just a fact folks.

these next two games are definitely winnable. i never said otherwise. ya'll need to get the chips off your shoulders..........jeez.

apparenlty, i'm always grouchy. a little less though when the steelers and panthers both win, as has been the case the past few weeks.

If the Giants don't have Jacobs I love our chances.

Their offense without him is just plain bad. The way Dallas got to Eli also gives me hope. If we continue to put CJ and Pep on the same side then we can really pressure Eli a lot.

you take away their best receiver and their best RB........it definitely makes a difference.

Panthers are in the playoffs!:fireworks:

We don't have to worry about Jake's doomsday scenario anymore:)

Seriously though,I hope they don't have a let down tonight, because home field advantage is still at stake.

Go Panthers !!

Every single analyst: The QB scares me.

Obviously it does us too, but I think come crunch time Jake is a lot more solid than people think.

Fluke play leads to 3. But I'm liking what I'm seeing out of the D.

Jacobs looks 50% right now.
