it could definitley be worse. like i said, if all were sincere, then this could be the impetus of building a strong team.

time will tell.

please direct me to all the other teams where fights are breaking out in which a player's nose gets broken.

Did I say that specifically? No, I said problems. Change it to what you want to help your defense, sure.:eek:k:

I'd say the Green Bay Packers' problems are worse right now; as are the Rams'.

Hey, how did you become interested in the panthers?

i don't think the Packers standing firm on Aaron Rodgers is anywhere near the drama for the players compared to having fights break out.

Eh...I'd say it disrupted the camp pretty badly, What with the protests outside of the practice fields and the constant media attention for a month or more plus not knowing if your Hall of Fame QB is going to be the starter or Aaron freaking Rodgers.

Hey, how did you become interested in the panthers?

Grew up and went to high school in Greensboro.

My family had season tickets since the inaugural season when we played at Clemson (in fact I still have the ticket), and PSL's since the first season in Ericsson Stadium.

I also worked for them during my senior year of high school in 2003...you know, the Super Bowl season.

Why'd you ask just now? I've been posting about the Panthers since I joined up here.

I'm sorry, was there a specific deadline as to when I was supposed to ask this? :p

But good to know. :good!:

how good are the Panthers supposed to be this year? It won't matter though because the Saints are going to whip y'all.

Went to the game tonight.. jim sorgi looked bad as the starter, but that's irrelevant once peyton's back... Carolina ran the ball really well with deangelo, didn't see j. stewart at alllll though??? holdout i guess.

d jarrett caught a few balls, connor made some plays, jared lorenzen's still a gigantic human being.

Stewart has a minor injury and was held out of the game........the o line looked pretty good, and Williams ran well. i was impressed with both the O line and D line.....Pep actually looked like he might be back.

it's pre season, not going to get excited about anything yet, but i will admit, it was good to see some guys contribute.......Jarrett being one of them.......

I agree Jake. Things are looking good, hopefully they will keep it up and see what happens in the regular season.

By the way, why was smith playing? I thought it was going to be up to the point of the first two regular season games but now I see its only the first two regular season games... :dunno:

Did either of y'all go to the game?

I think as well as D Williams ran the ball, stewart could still end up being more effective.

And yes, Jpep was back to his old self a little bit.. Made Jim Sorgi's life a little crappier.

Nope, did not go. Don't care for preseason games much. I only watched the first half.

Are you going to any regular season games?

i didn't go either. i paid attention thru the 1st half and that's about it.

i'd say pepp actually looked different........i've never seen him get up after a play (keep in mind this is freakin' pre season too) and 'celebrate' in any way shape or form....when he got up and starting saluting, i couldn't believe it.......

anyway......it is what it is to steal a line from John Fox, but as with the O&W game, i'd rather feel like this after a pre season game than the alternative.

Not sure yet, i went down with my girlfriend and her family just saw the game and came back home... 2 hour drive.

I'd like to see some more games, not a big panthers fan, but i'd definitely go if possible... if i find out i am going i'll see who else on here might be??

Volwindy- Smith is allowed to practice and play in preseason games, just sit out the first 2 regular season ones.

i don't know if there was anything to learn from last night's debacle.....the weather and field were terrible........and they played like a team that was in terrible conditions.......

neither line looked as good as they did the previous week and the secondary was not good.

chock it up as a pre season game and hope to see improvement next time.......otherwise, it was just bad.
