The 2008 Carolina Panthers thread

I didn't watch a lot of the game between that an the olympics, but I was quite bored with the game for both teams. It just seemed like neither team gave much care for the game maybe because it was preseason and because of the crappy weather, but it was not the same intensity as the first game for the panthers that's for sure.

A couple things:

This is meaningless, but what is up with Delhomme always sticking out his tongue when he is throwing the ball?

Was it me or did it seem like they were moving completely slow for their 2 minute drill at the end of the game? It just seemed all they were doing were short passes and taking their sweet time--again seeming like they could care less about the game. It would have left no time for Phil to come back, but I'm not so sure they were leaving enough time for them to even execute getting a touchdown.:dunno:

No, just watched during commercial time of the olympics, except for the last 5 minutes of the game.

I didn't realize they were playing until I happened to flip past it.

I didn't see it but that's gotta be the most points Bank of America stadium has seen out of the Panthers.

Great game this weekend! Hopefully we see that kind of passion throughout the season.

2002 52-31 vs. Cinn. :) I had to go back and look it up each year to see if you were wrong. Close but yet so far. :p

defense showed up, got turnovers and tood advantage. good to see the running game produce like that.........but there were some fluky plays too......

anyway, good game 3. but i'm not going to get all worked up yet. i at least want to get thru the first couple of reg. season games where we're being gameplanned against and see how we do.......

or to see if they can be consistent at home and on the road.

well, all things considered, they have to do better at home this year, period. a split in the 1st two games i would consider a victory.

well I totally forgot all about the panthers/steelers game last week, was watching the SC/NCSU game so I can't say I know what happened other than seeing now a loss, but I am ready for the real season to start!

Let's go panthers! :cheer:

no, it's written in stone.

You Carolina fans don't talk trash at all, so boring.

The stone ages are long gone so I must have missed that one.

Once Carolina gives us a reason to talk trash, then maybe, but talking trash for a team that has not done much is being a fool. Now talking trash about the teams someone dislikes that is a different story.......

Saw today in the news that Carr is injured, got hurt in the pitts game and injured it more in practice yesterday, so it is all on Delhomme to get it done and not get injured.:ermm:

why is the Giants back up QB being discussed in the Panthers' thread?

wow. that's how you run a perfect two minute drill.

What a pass from Delhomme on the final play. I didn't think there was any way to get the ball through the defenders.
