The 2019 NFL Season Thread

I mean I get this, and I agree that if someone is gay/bi/whatever and wants to make it public to be a role model or whatever, that's fine. And yeah I get some are going to piss and moan about him doing this no matter what.

But I also get BearCat's point that the timing is very suspect. It reminds me of the gay NBA player a few years back. Now he personally may not be trying to make it about his sexuality, but certain areas of the media and probably his agent will.
Why do the gay/bi/whatever need role models? Where are the straight role models? Why don't we have a parade?

Who the f*** cares about someone else's sexuality ( I get it, America is worried about everyone else)?

Looks like part of my post was right.

Complaining about LGBTQ parades is like complaining about handicapped parking spaces knowing full well you already have the entire damn parking lot.

Straight people have never been shunned by society for simply being who they are. Gay people have. That's why gay pride/visibility is a thing.

As for this dude who just came out, I honestly couldn't care less about his sexuality, but for some reason people still believe bisexual men are a myth, so kudos to him I guess.

He isn't in the NFL right now because of talent. The timing of this screams being done to garner attention and create the narrative that he isn't being picked up because of his sexuality. It shouldn't matter what his sexuality is, but he's going to make it about his sexuality.

So you're upset about what it might become, not what it is.

"Everywhere. All around you."

It's nice to have role models you identify with, especially when you feel like an outsider. I grew up Mormon in the south. I would have been fine without role models but was thrilled to have guys like Dale Murphy and Steve Young to look up to.

Obviously went over your head

Broncos have 11th ranked secondary, 12th OL, 12th front 7, 21st WR's, and #3 ranked RB platoon. How do they have 80:1 SB odds? Their division is tough but AFC is weak. Falcons are 30:1. Think I'm gonna throw down $10 on each

his constant goofy prediction posts are really annoying - he might be the first poster I ever put on ignore. Hopefully someone will make him mad and he will leave again

He'll probably start posting "Girls of" posts like last year and creep everyone out again.

QB and RBs suck

QB is about average but very experienced and RB's are good. What are you talking about? This same young group was 11th in ypg, 4th in TD's, 4th in YPC, and only lost 2 fumbles in 2018 and the O line is better this year.

Flacco has had really mediocre WR groups for years. It's not like the Broncos group is great, but it's the best he's had since...? A long time. Flacco's QBR last year was 54.8. 18th in the league. It's not crazy to think he could be a top 12 QB this year with a change of scenery and better weapons.

Vegas knows more

The odds are not set based on what Vegas thinks will happen. It's based on how they thing gamblers will behave. What Vegas is saying with that line is that gamblers don't think Broncos have a good shot.
they are giving to much love to the Chargers -- NFL though anything can happen -- make the bet

I will. It's only $10 and the value is there. Raiders are getting 40:1. I'll be shocked if they are better than the Broncos. Twice as good SB odds? Come on. Hard Knocks hype tax.

As I wrote this^, I just checked odds again and they shifted, LOL. Broncos and Raiders are now both 66:1. I missed my best window of opportunity. Other people jumped on them before me.
