The 2023-2024 Carolina/Duke basketball thread.the"will Duke get a higher seed than 5?" Edition.

If Cadeau keeps progressing like this it will make them a really tough team to beat. He controls the game well for a young freshman that reclassified

I'm really glad that Carolina pulled away towards the end when Florida St were making their run late. Carolina got to the line a lot more and Florida St couldn't hit many of the ones got.

A typical Leonard Hamilton team with a lot of size. They played tough defense from wire to wire, and had the depth so it was a big win.

Ingram has taken over for Bacot it seems, and I'm glad to see him step up even though Bacot has regressed. It's a guard oriented team between Davis and Cadeaux which is fun to watch as a fan. Now to watch the rest of the Duke game and see if Clemson can make it interesting.

I wonder if Bacot is playing with an undisclosed injury. He hasn't been the same for the last several weeks now. It's good to see Ingram picking up the slack though.

I just think he’s accepted more a 3rd option, rebounding and defense role behind davis and Ingram

I haven’t heard one person say anything about a travel. Maybe a no call, but not a travel .
If you ignore the first foul, it’s a travel. He went up and down. But, again, as indicated by one full second being put on the clock, it’s the foul that was called. The analyst kept talking about the second foul, when Proctor went back up

I thought it was an initial jump stop. Oh well people are upset. They probably didn’t say a word after the uva game last year.

Clemson people, people from.. ahem.. other programs 👀 have all been complaining on social media about the refs. Blaming the ACC this and that. That they can’t wait to get to another conference. Guess what ? You’re not getting that call in Rupp, Tuscaloosa, East Lansing, Columbus, Ann Arbor
or Lawrence, hell not Waco either.

I can count on 1 hand how many times Clemson has won in Durham and Chapel Hill since a ball first went through a ****ing peach basket, but I’m sure it’s the refs and ACC’s fault year after year and decade after decade.

Good chance they won’t actually be close games against better competition, but if knowing how to win tight games is the key to March, Duke is going to be well seasoned in how to do just that.

Interesting article

Leave my prestigious yet down basketball conference alone.... They don't deserve this.

In all seriousness, he's right. It's hard to think of Carolina in another conference, but the same thing was said of UCLA and USC,and we all saw how that went. No conference is above the football revenue as much as I'm a traditional non realignment guy.
