So now Duke and Carolina lose to a team that won't only miss the NCAA tournament, but more than likely the NIT. I didn't see their first conference loss to this team, but this was bound to happen eventually. You just hate that it's before a huge game Saturday.

I hate that Carolina dropped their 1st conference game to a team as bad as Georgia Tech. However, it should make them laser-focused on eliminating the sloppy mistakes that they had been getting away with lately when they play Duke on Saturday.

Yeah,I forget to mention that yesterday. It's a package deal if another conference took them. You're not getting rid of the biggest rivalry in college basketball and possibly college sports.

Someone would certainly be dumb not to take them as a package deal. I honestly think that the B1G would make the most sense for both of them if it ever came to the ACC dissolving, which hopefully it won’t.

I’ve said it before where ever Carolina goes Duke will follow and vice-versa. This rivalry isn’t an OOC type game.

I agree. Duke needs to stopping doubling and leaving that drive open. Duke has been going to the basket as well, but not having a similar result.

Agree. Duke isn’t as good as Carolina, and I don’t have a lot of hope that they’ll get there by the next meeting either. Bilas said either of these teams could make it to the Final Four. I don’t see Duke making it out of the first weekend when I watch them sometimes. They get a tough matchup in a 4 vs 13 game, and I think it could lights out. The saving grace may be that guard play is so key in March, and they have Roach and McCain who is becoming a stud. Need to get better quickly.

This Duke team is incredibly frustrating to me. When I watch them play I don’t see a top 10 team. There are moments, but this team is missing something that other groups have had. The defense needs a rim protector and Filipowski has regressed IMO, or he hasn’t taken a big step forward that I expected him to. McCain is stepping up, but someone has to be the guy to take over. Like you said, guard play is huge in March and Duke does have an abundance of guards, we’ll see where this goes, but I agree w/ you, it might not be far.

Has Scheyer also played at a slow pace? Seems like they are not pushing much at all which seems different from K teams. They don’t have enough firepower to run a set Everytime down to get buckets
