The 2023 March Madness “Other Games” Thread

As far as the dunk at the end, it was definitely classless,but I think it was a matter of a kid getting caught up in the moment. Plus, his coach probably took him to the side and let him know to not do that ever again. What I noticed in this game tonight was a lot of speed on the offensive end and one team outlasting the other. Tennessee will make it a slugfest and if the Duke game is any indication,they'll make FAU play Tennessee's style of game.

Plus, Barnes will have until Thursday to prepare them to play and I believe they'll be ready. I'm anxious for Thursday night to come already. I'm going to have to find other things to watch to pass the time.

The announcers doing the post game said FAU was gonna have 3-4 days to get out the heavy bags and prepare for our physicality. Eezy peezy.

It is my sincere hope that that classless dunk attempt earned FAU a one way all-expenses-paid trip to the boom boom room.

I guess I’m pulling for Indiana. Drop yet another blue blood and maybe the country turns off the Sweet 16. Indiana, UCLA, Michigan State, UConn, and Gonzaga are Blue Blood+.

40-50 years ago and Indiana was more of a blue blood than both Duke and UNC.

They were something to behold in the mid 70s. 1976 for sure!

I'm saying that the matchup is in our favor. They have one way to beat us and that involves hitting a lot of low percentage shots. We should dominate the paint and the glass and be all over them on the perimeter. FDU's speed and full court pressure could have given our ball handlers some trouble but I don't think that FAU presents the same problem.

We need to really hit the boards in this one. At the same time, we have to take advantage of our size and work inside out. Can't get 3 ball happy.

In a hilarious turn of events, Twitter has already turned against FAU and is onboard with Tennessee. They HATE the end of game missed dunk lol. This is gooooood. FAU not the Cinderella anymore.

I noticed this as well, fans of every other team in the country are saying we will beat them by 20 now lol

I hope that it isn’t just one year. I’ve been sick of UNC, Duke, and KU being escorted into the Final Fours. Seems like sometimes the Carolina teams don’t have to leave their home state until the FF.
