Not really surprising. D’arnaud is aging, Murphy struggles to stay healthy and it doesn’t look like Tromp is going to be good enough to stick in the show. They need some help there.

MLB draft is much less about need or current rosters than any other pro draft. Most of these guys never make it and about 75% of the HS SS drafted end up playing a different position.

I’m not sure how many kids are calculating the value of a college education into their decision. For the top prospects, they very likely never finish college once draft eligible again.

That would be my guess but may be like 15 or later round. I doubt Stark gets drafted.
