The All Things Cycling Thread

She does have a point. A lot of cyclists are morons who do not realize that they have to obey the rules of the road like everyone else.

No excuse for leaving the scene of an accident.

Spent most of today's race in a 3 man breakaway. Caught with 3 to-go, then got a flat. Finished 1 lap down. Teammate got 4th. No crashes in my race, but plenty if others. Rain held off, the course was dry for most of the races after 10am.

What? I think you are trying to find stuff to be angry about in my post, but whatever.

I am not angry, I am amused.

Sometimes, when I drive past a cyclist on the road, I think, "That sure looks idiotic, doesn't it?"

It's complicated.

Have any of you guys rode in Florida before? I will be there next week and have not decided if I will take my bike. It looks like I may have to take my vehicle, which is why I have started to consider it. How is the riding there? Windy since I would be on the coast? I know it will be very flat. Would it be worth the trouble of sand/salt on my bike for just a week of riding?

After knee issues, a baby and a new job. I'm finally bringing the bike out of retirement and hitting it up this weekend. I'm going to be sore as a mother...

Google cycling clubs in the area. contact local bike shops. some shops will rent you a road bike for $100 or less for the week.

Is the technique at 1:35 the proper way to roll if you get hit by a car?

After riding a Campagnolo Record bike around and getting ticked off at my Shimano 105, I think I've decided to swap my drivetrain to Campy Athena 11.

How similar are biking and running in terms of endurance?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that a mile run is equivalent to nearly four on a bike....with the course being flat and no wind....which never happens....especially in TN

I bought a new huffy. I'm excited. Is this a good bike? Can it be raced on a pro circuit? I'm gonna go pro if this is a good bike.
