The All Things Cycling Thread

I bought a new huffy. I'm excited. Is this a good bike? Can it be raced on a pro circuit? I'm gonna go pro if this is a good bike.

Just remember to take the kickstand off. it screws with the aerodynamics and the extra weight slows you down.

85 miles today. Cut it short so I didn't over do it, only to find out that tomorrow's race has been rescheduled again because of rain. I might go in search of gravel roads tomorrow.

First time I've ever lost my lunch riding my bike. Shouldn't have had that footlong sub at the halfway point.

I've gotten close a time or two. One Saturday morning I discovered that yogurt wasn't such a good pre ride meal.....it was hot and muggy and on mile 15 a steep hill nearly did me in.....after that the rest of the ride killed my avg mph .....would probably felt better had I spewed

Started riding this morning and turned around. I needed a rest day.

Got beer and cookies as tips today. Spent and hour and a half after hours fixing the girl that lives above me's bike, at the cost of her letting me take her to dinner. She chooses not to drive also and it was rough. I sold it to her in March or February and I've already had to replace the brake pads and it's in dire need of new tires soon.

Did you sell her a lemon?

Negative. She rides it everyday, in all kinds of weather. In fact, we rode 20 miles tonight in a torrential downpour. It was a blast. She rode the second half on my fat bike and was holding an 18-20mph pace.

Correction: I rode 25 miles in the rain last night.

28 miles tonight. Many, many bugs. Lots of mud to condensed with from recent flooding.

228mi this week with one more day to go. Not too shabby. I also have some weird pain behind my right knee.

You think it's a strained calf?

Bad wreck yesterday. Concussion with badly bruised face. Hit a tree flipped over into the Stones River. Pretty lucky to be here. Have no memory of riding home.

Forgot to mention I got hit by a full, open bottle of Mt Dew this morning while testing a customer's bike. Chased to 35mph, but obviously I couldn't catch him. I just wanted the plate number, I have many cop friends in the area.

I bet you'd like to get your hands on that SOB....those idiots have no idea they could actually cause a very serious injury doing that kind of thing. Did it hit you in the back or the back of your head?
