I ran over something, looked down for a split second and my tires got off the pavement. There was about a 6 inch difference from pavement and the ground. Hit my brakes but the ground was so muddy. I slid straight into a tree. It happened so fast. I was coming off a hill. I didn't have time to lay it down.

Been there. In 2010 I was descending a hill at night and missed a turn. I went over the bars, landed on my head. I was out cold until my friends found me minutes later. Broke my helmet in half.

30 more miles tonight. This month is shaping up to be the most I've ever ridden in a month before.

I bought a new pair of Giro shoes and Origin8 bibs. The shoes I'm going to like, but the bibs run tiny, apparently. I wear an XL in Craft and Louis Garneau, but apparently a XXL in Origin8. The chamois is really nice, though.

I was avg. 25 miles/day until the wreck. Can't wait to get back out there. My bike should be back from the shop today.

Bike started making a creaking noise and the chain was rubbing on the front derailleur last night... looked at it today and the crank arm has almost fallen off. Makes sense.

Leisurely ride yesterday to watch a friend's band play. Going to try and get the blood pumping in my legs tonight, but there are severe storms predicted that may hinder my chances of that.

32 mile group ride last night. Hung with the leaders for the first half. Beautiful countryside in northern va.

Great ride. Coming down the mountain from Cades Cove is orgasmic. 5 miles of 25-30+ mph with no need for brakes.

My buddy raced his second triathlon today... and won. He was 2+ minutes faster in the run than 2nd place. Sprint tri.
