The All Things Cycling Thread

Bicyclist hit by an 80 year old man yesterday. He was drug for 300 yards before another driver stopped in front of the man dragging the kid to help. The driver was oblivious. One of our customers was a responding officer and said the man should not have had his license.

Healing up well enough until yesterday when one of my elbow scabs got caught when putting the jersey on.

Ouch.

Climbing hills is my favorite. Call me a masochist if you will, but it's fun.

Oh, I love to climb too, but at my own pace. That's why mountain bike racing suites me so well. After the initial lead out into the woods, enough of the group gets separated and everyone can climb at their own pace. I'm not great at descending on a mountain bike so I've gotten pretty good at climbing for being 240lbs. I can descend a road bike like a bat out of hell, though.

Rode two of my fastest mountain bike laps at my favorite park tonight. Felt great to get back to some fast riding after screwing around last week.

Almost last place...

Haha. That's how I felt when I finished. Rode a trail I'd never been to, was sick all week prior, and had major hayfever problems before the start. Entered the woods in top 5... oh, and it was like 92° and stupid high humidity and I forgot my water bottles at home.
