The All Things Cycling Thread

Finally found someone selling a Spooky Skeletor frameset in my size. I'm so excited for it to show up on my door step on Monday. Going back to aluminum from carbon.

Are those still made by Frank the Welder? Spooky Darkside was an amazing frame for the time.

Yes.

Well, Spooky is MIA at the moment but Frank is still building frames and these were done by him, it's one of the reasons why I have been looking for this frame. I'm now scouring the internet trying to find a cockpit worthy of this frame, since my cobbled together cockpit on my Felt will not do it justice. I'm eyeing Thomson or Enve post/stem/bars.

It should be an amazing bike. His welds are like art.

Frame showed up. Paint is quite rough so I'm going to have it sandblasted and powder coated. It'll go from midnight blue to blaze orange, because free. Now to find decals since Spooky is MIA at the moment.

Decals located. Thomson seat post, stem, and seat clamp purchased used for a smoking deal. I just need handlebars and it'll be finished. Oh, and I bought a 2012 Specialized Crux Expert, too, while I was looking for used parts. Yolo.

Now someone should buy my Pinarello track bike...

February was my lowest mileage month since December 2004. So it goes. The last two weeks were terrible--schools closed nine days in a row. But not this bad

Haha. That's awesome!

New ride arrived. 2012 Specialized Crux Expert with SRAM Red 1x10 and Velocity Aerohead rims laced to Shimano Dura Ace and Ultegra hubs. Needs a crank, but I'm trading some beer for one sometime this week. I'm going to have a ton of fun on this and my Cross Check will be strictly set to commuter status.

Trails just opened here last night. Mine is still sitting in my bedroom with a flat tubeless. Tubeless needs to be cleaned and set again.

That was the one thing I hated about tubeless.

This trail system is supposed to be one of the nicest in NC. It's 13 mile loop with 4,629 berms. Should be fun
