The All things Lane Kiffin Car Accident Thread (merged)

Sorry, Erin Andrews was in no way involved. I was saying that the real hot tub picture would fetch lots of money and bring lots of hits, but putting "Erin Andrews" on anything brings out the lurkers more than anything else on the internet. It is why Clay Travis and most other sportswriters have done it so often.

I knew you were joking.... But it would still bring a lot of money.

What would be REALLY fun would be for a scandal big enough for USC to drop X would break out over the next few days. The three stooges would then be coaches without a team and no one willing to hire them.
The bomb needs to drop about a week before signing day...late next week would be great.

I would love to see that program's class implode for taking the sleazy steps to snag another university's HC this close to signing day and with only one year on the job. It's one thing to lose an assistant coach, but the HC means upheaval in the whole staff and recruiting class.

What is the meaning of this, HatTrojan?

You seem to be inferring that some USC grads / students / supporters have infected and, "crashed" the VolQuest message boards, and that the users of this site (or others) are in danger of a similiar suffering, as they have or are intending to commit a similiar act here, at VolNation?

Freak - Given HatTrojan's veiled threat / warning that USC hackers may use this site as a medium to either crash this site or to infect our personal computers, should we be concerned with its continued use? Can you offer some assurances that such cannot or will not occur, if we do? And lastly, with friends like this.......wow.

Use a decent browser. If you use Windows, use a reputable and recently updated antivirus package. Don't click "OK" if any unexpected pop-ups come up asking you to download something. Anyone who uses the internet is responsible for the security of his own computer.

I'm sure that Freak does everything possible to keep his site from being hacked and malicious code inserted, but anyone who uses a computer in a responsible way would have nothing to worry about it even if the worst happened.

well the site did crash last night

well the site did crash last night

The board going down could -- in theory -- be due to a denial of service attack. It still doesn't mean that there's any magical creepy way that it could somehow infect the computer of anybody who tried to access it.

Given that the site has labored under a ridiculously high demand lately, and that Freak just had to move the whole shebang over to a new server, worrying about some kind of attack is pretty well paranoia. Vastly more likely that it was just routine maintenance/bandwidth issues due to the server migration.

Are you people still talking about Lane Kiffin? This is pitiful. Time to move on, folks. Success is the best revenge and until we put the CLK affair behind us, we will not be able to focus our entire energies on building a winning program.

seemed an appropriate place to put this
