The Andrew Wiggins Sweepstakes

Well thats interesting since I have a higher like % than you do, but whatever you say.

I used to wonder why you were on this board, now I realize the UK fans on the UK boards couldn't stand you either.

:eek:lol:

If I spoke half the garbage you did, I'd have thousands of likes too.

Did you really just pull the "I'm more popular than you card?" I'm pretty sure that lost its impact in Junior High....

Back on topic, Calipari has set an undefeated season as the goal for next year.

I hope that goes bust before Christmas trees are trimmed.

I don't get that at all from Calipari's actual words on the subject:

ON IF HE’LL ADDRESS GOING 40-0 WITH THIS TEAM AS A CHALLENGE: “No, I won’t, but there’ll be things out there that’ll be, ‘We’re chasing perfection. We’re chasing greatness. We’re chasing things that have never been done in the history of our game.’ What I like about that, people say, ‘Pressure!’ Man, pressure brings out the best. ‘You’re gonna be fired if you don’t get this done! You’re not going to make it if you don’t get this done!’ Wakes you up earlier in the morning. I don’t mind a little pressure. I’ve had it my whole career. I’ve had the gun to my head for 20-something years. And you know what? I’m at my best when the gun is to my head versus, ‘OK, I’m good, I can kick back.’ I’m not as good. And you know what? Players are the same. Now, I’m not sitting there saying, ‘If we los a game, it’s not a successful season.’ No. But you’re chasing greatness. What’s wrong with that? ‘Well, we want to talk moment to moment and we’re not putting that on the kids.’ Well, we are. Any pressure on these kids when they come here? It’s on us. Now, it won’t be on us that’s the forefront thing we’re talking about, but there’ll be things out there that they’ll see. "

How did Shabazz make a bad decision again? I didn't realize averaging 18 ppg is sucking. Comical. Did Archie Goodwin make a bad decision since he wasn't great?

Good point.
I didn't read the transcript and didn't even see the link to it. I just read the article. A lot of writers took those comments and spun them into Calipari talking about going unbeaten. Google "Calipari Chase Perfection," and you'll see how a lot of people used that quote.
He's really saying that the UK fans and/or the media will be talking about an unbeaten season. And, to be honest, if you start 2-0 and look dominant doing it, your colleagues at catspause.com will be talking about 1976 IU.

Don't see why they shouldn't aim for 40-0. We had a team go 38-2. Both of those losses were big upsets at the time (Indiana: on a last second three, and Vandy: Playing their way into the tourney). Those losses, especially the Vandy one, probably motivated UK to play harder. But I don't see why 40-0 is out of the question with next years team.

3% chance - Wiggins would have made it more doable for sure.
