No doubt. I don't really understand why anyone outside of the Barcelona region finds it entertaining to cheer for them. Being a Barca fan is literally like hanging around a blackjack table in Vegas and rooting for the house to win.
They may not have been the best in the world, but their talent certainly merited more that they were getting out of it.Nope, they just were not that good. All of the talent they have now was still developing.

To be fair, they did get screwed by some horrible calls in the 2002 World Cup, and they were unlucky to get France in the second round of the 2006 World Cup, but yes, they were underachieving.
You were talking about the previous decade, and you're overrating their talent over that time span. They weren't as good as Brazil, which is why they kept coming up short in the Copa America. They underachieved at the 2002 World Cup, but that was about it.Not really. Until about 05 Spain was a slightly better than average European team and finished so. Argentina has had WAY more talent than Spain the last 20 years and haven't won a thing since 93. The only other team I can think of that has underachieved near their level would be Holland.
The English national team is so overrated going into every international competition.
