Thing is clean sheets matter, and while individually Cech is as good as the other two, I can't say the same about the four in front of them.

Somehow I missed that you were talking about a fantasy league. I thought you were just putting together a best starting XI for the whole Euro. In that case, like I said, I'd take Cech, but in a fantasy league where stats matter, I agree with you not putting a lot of faith in the Czech back four.

Still more of a show me situation to me. I think nasri, benzema and hugo lloris are all solid but I just can't bring myself to buy into france.

Rami and Koscielny are rocks in defense.. Mexes played really well in the CL, but I didn't see much of him in Serie A. Patrice Evra is just a little solid.. haha If he isn't you can replace him with Clichy.

Ribery, M'Vila, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, etc. are all great players.. I think someone just doesn't know much about French players. Granted, I am not saying they are better than Spain or Germany but they are definitely more than solid talent wise.

I've seen plenty of their guys, primarily Ribery, the Newcastle boys, Nasri, etc. but they're ranked 10th in UEFA for a reason... Jus sayin.

Not saying they can't show out, just saying I'm not yet convinced they will. It's entirely conceivable to me that they don't make it out of the group.

After their disastrous showing at the last two international competitions, the burden of proof is clearly on them before I'm going to believe they're back amongst the top teams in Europe.

Good choice not to start Cech in that fantasy league Milo.

For sure. What a disastrous start for the Czech Republic. I'm glad to have Group A out of the way. There's not one team in that group I really care anything about watching. Tomorrow is the Group of Death, which should provide two interesting games.

Not pulling for Poland? I figured everybody pulls for the host country, unless your favorite team is in the same group.

If they could put a run together it would be kind of cool, but if not it won't bother me either. The Dutch and England are the teams I'll be pulling for, plus whoever is playing against Spain.

I suspect Antigua is sitting back and swarming on D to keep their goal differential in order, and go for points against Jamaica and Guatemala. Still, the Yanks need to get it together.

Also, Antigua is making some nasty challenges. Refs need to start pulling their damned cards before one of our boys gets hurt.

Exactly. Honestly, pretty good job by the US to be up 2 goals considering A&B kept at least 10 behind the ball for essentially the entire first half. They don't really have much other choice though. This was a game they probably knew they weren't going to be able to win, so just keep the damn within reason and maybe make something happen against one of the other lesser teams in the group. Starting the group 5 or more goals in the hole would be almost impossible to overcome.
