I'm sure somebody with more money than brains will pick him up. He'll probably wind up in Russia or at PSG or Galatasaray.

Its all rumors and speculation at this point but supposedly he will end up being sold once Pep is in charge. He doesn't play today if Ribery didn't get hurt.

I see Barca advancing past PSG. I view PSG like City, a bunch of players thrown together. Barca will tear them apart.

Real Madrid essentially gets a bye.

Dortmund should be able to handle Malaga.

Unless Bayern can get back into form by the team they play Juventus, I see Juventus advancing. You need to be clinical and make the most of your chances versus Italian squads, and clinical Bayern is not. It will be a physical, ugly, card-ridden slugfest where the advancing club will be missing several key players in the next round. The only team I did not want to play more than Juventus was Barcelona.

Dortmund should not overlook Malaga. They are a good side and battled with us over two legs in the Copa del Rey.

Like the draw. Could have been better. Could have been a lot worse. No Ibra for the road leg in Paris. I expect to be even on goals or a goal up when coming back to the Nou Camp.

So apparently it's now a bracket format where Barca-PSG, Bayern-Juventus are on one side and Dortmund-Malaga, Madrid-Gala on the other.

They draw again for the semifinals. I swear it was a bracket at this stage last year. I remember assuming we would get Chelsea in the semis because they were playing Benfica

You're right. I got some bad information from someone that posted a bracket. I should have checked into it further.

Haven't been paying much attention to UEFA qualifiers. Was shocked to see that England, Greece and Portugal are all in serious danger of not making the World Cup.

Just curious, but has FIFA recently changed the rules for WC qualification? I could have sworn the holders used to get automatic qualification in the next WC. Clearly that isn't the case anymore.

I was listening to TalkSport today, and the England fans are all panicking because they drew Tuesday night. I think they'll be fine.

They benefit from the fact that they have 3 of their final 4 games at home, one of which includes a second meeting with Montenegro. It also helps that they have a huge lead in damn right now. However, they certainly have reason to be fearful if they don't manage to end up winning the group. Apparently there has been no mention yet of seeding the draw for the play-ins, and if it isn't seeded then the possibility is out there that they could draw France and then one of those two would miss the WC altogether.

I feel like they'll find a way to qualify. Roy Hodgson seems to know what he's doing. I could be wrong, of course.
