Italy taking the Confed cup seriously, if Spain and Uruguay can turn it up as well, then this should be a great tournament.

Italy up 2-1 on a Balotelli goal

This just in: Spain is still really really good.

Still wondering how Uruguay is as far down as they are in WCQ with Suarez and Cavani at the top

They struck gold to be in this tournament. Really had no business winning Copa America.

And all the talk of Germany surpassing Spain is rubbish. This Spain side is very good. And using a much different formation than they have the three previous major tournaments.

man, didn't get to catch all the Italy/Japan game, but wish I did.

Pretty intense, but I was hoping Japan would pull it out. Now there are 2 teams that have held a 2 goal lead and lossed at the Confed cup (sadly we're the other)

It's not that big of a deal, 2 goals isn't a commanding lead by any means and the confed cup isn't that big of a deal outside of getting to see some quality sides play competitive matches during the summer break.

Wasn't really saying its a big deal; just stating the fact that we were the other for those who didn't know.

Granted it was a big deal to me when we gave up 3 straight goals to brasil. Thought we had a good chance at a W

Rumors flying that Rooney will choose Chelsea over Arsenal if he leaves United next week. Him and Moyes are supposed to discuss his future next week. Take with a grain of salt, of course.

Any word yet on where Gareth Bale is going to end up? It's basically a foregone conclusion that he won't be back with Spurs, but I haven't seen a lot with regards to where he's going.

Mexico playing better this 2nd half. Up 1-0 over Japan on Chicharito header.

Italia & Brasil is a good one. Neymar just put Brasil up 2-1
