Love the woe is me 'tude. Liverpool was great before Jaws and will be great after him. I am more than fine with Sturridge and Sterling leading the way up top with Borino coming back. Go spend the money on the back 4.That's good for you guys, but a shame for Liverpool and the EPL in general. Like him or not, he's an amazing talent to watch and the league is better when Liverpool are relevant. I'm sure they'll throw money at some other guys, but regardless of how much money they spend it'll be almost impossible to replace that kind of production. He outscored everyone else in the league last year by almost 10 goals and only played 3/4 of the season.

By they were great I assume you mean 10+ years ago, right? Prior to his arrival they had spent several seasons struggling to even qualify for Europa League. I'm not even a Liverpool fan, but I would like to see Steven Gerrard win a title before he hangs it up. Considering how few years he has left, hitting the reset button and selling Suarez this year pretty much guarantees that never happens.
They came ridiculously close last year under very similar circumstances, so I'm kind of surprised they wouldn't give it one more go this year. It's not like they couldn't sell Suarez either in January if they're already out of the title race or next summer if things don't pan out this year. Plus, they'd probably be able to get more money for him if he were actually able to play immediately.
Liverpool is going to be just fine without Suarez. Sturridge is an absolute stud.
And yet, they're going to get the 70-80 million. Sounds like a win to me.
Selling isn't hitting the reset button. You think they drop to 5th by losing him?
Spurs got more than that when they sold Gareth Bale last summer and managed to get significantly worse even though they went on a spending spree with all the money his sale netted them. Some players are simply irreplaceable, and Suarez was much more critical to Liverpool's success than Bale was to Spurs'.
And yes, without him, they'll likely drop out of the top 4. I'd guess that Man U will recover this year and be back in the CL running. It'll probably be between them and Spurs for 5th because Everton are going to be hard pressed to repeat what they accomplished last year thanks to a lot of turnover because several of their key players (most of all Romelu Lukaku) were just there on loan last season and won't be back.
People don't understand what he meant to Liverpool last year. If he wasn't scoring their goals, he was setting them up.
You take Messi out of Barcelona or Diego costa out of Atletico, those teams are completely different. And they are both way more talented than Liverpool.
I would argue that Liverpool is more solid top to bottom than Tottenham was/is. I think they still finish inside the top 4, but they won't be in the running for the league title, like they were last season.
They're not too far off. You say that based off of last season, but bale was pretty much responsible for putting spurs in the CL spot a couple seasons back (of course dashed by Chelsea's ridiculous CL win)
Hehe awesome. The partnership is a little strange to me, but oh well, I guess it gives them some more global exposure, as Man U is definitely a global brand/team.
It looks like that's the only sell out thus far. Otherwise I'd try to make that one. I don't understand why no matches in ATL, Nashville or even Louisville. It's going to be hot everywhere except Berkeley and Minnesota so that excuse won't fly. I could jump a plane to most of the host cities but I'll be damned if I'm going to leave Nashville to go dump my money into some Yankee coffers or Jerry Jones pockets after the support that this town has shown the USMNT repeatedly when they trot out the dregs and save the goodies for the likes of Columbus.Liverpool/AC Milan in Charlotte. Bought the tickets months ago. Seats aren't great, but they were affordable.
